Part 55: Epilogue

If you're reading this, I've failed. The world I created fell to corruption despite my every effort, and the book was needed again. I'm sorry I couldn't do better.

It doesn't mean I've given up.

As the new holder of the book, you must now bear my burden. I know I have no right to add to its weight. Even so, in the name of everything I fought for, and everything you will fight for, I have one more request.

Add your words to mine. Let your story be the gift you give to your world. If the authors of the future can read of us, learn from us, build upon our strengths and avert our mistakes, then perhaps one day, we will write a world where the book rests forever.

Within these pages, I am immortal. Join me.

If that's too much to ask, at least do this...
