Part 28: Tourist 4 - Dali Redux

"No, my clothes are the same as always"

Marcus hints toward a past that taught him all he knows about Problematic Women.

oh let's be contrary and go to dali

let's give our rarest equipment to marcus

Everyone has something to say about the model airship.

I can sort of play Frontier Village Dali on the piano. I mean I know how to read sheet music etc. perfectly well, but literate as I am, I "learned" it first by ear. I didn't do bad, and generally only missed a note on chords here and there, but when it comes to actually playing it, that's the one that I play rather than 100% accurately what is written in the sheet music.

Mayor Kapu is still a jerk.

"Don't you think Queen Brahne's policy changes are a bit drastic?"
"Nah, I do stuff like this all the time in Civ 4"

"I'll do my best to get your farm back to the way it was."

Bit of a timeframe for you here.

This is either because they were too lazy to sprite Holly riding a Chocobo, or because the Chocobo treasure at the bottom of the Ice Cavern is really great.

Actually, it's because they're lazy. If I'm remembering right, the treasure down there is, like, 99 Potions.

Most people only see this screen twice, but they can never remember the first time they saw it.

And now it's nighttime.

Exploring some more...

A place of no importance, and only holds relevance to sidequests.

"Hmm? There's writing on the wall. Someone's measured here..."

Fantastic.

This will be relevant to Choco's sidequest later on. This place is literally full of sidequests.

And now, Treno.

This gate opens every time you visit the city. It's a very nice touch.

"Man Huihui I dunno that's a hobo over there, he looks kind of like Goku after he lost that DragonBall gig"

"I never asked you to come along. Quit complaining."
"Don't you talk back to me! First of all-"

I did this ATE wrong. Then the game crashed and I did it right, and only lost 500 Gil.

If you keep throwing money into this fountain,

this will happen on the twelfth try. I don't know WHY it was twelve specifically, aside from the general significance to its related sidequest. It's not a multiple of 5, which is what you would expect.

Not too sure how that "coin appearing" thing works, but whatev'

She then proceeds to head downwards.

Our four-armed friend went up, of course.

As for Huihui,

Well, I'd say it's just not his lucky day, but then, it's always not his lucky day.
