Introduction

Welcome to Mr. Swoon's Tecmo's Deception: Invitation to Darkness.

This is the first in a series of games where you kill your opponents not with a gun or sword, but with traps you set up all over your gigantic mansion. While it's a fun and unique concept as a whole, the Deception series, and this one in particular suffers from about 5 minutes worth of plot stretched over 50+ hours. And the gameplay gets repetitive by the time you're halfway through.

But there is still fun to be had, yes there is! In Deception your main character is, for all intents and purposes, evil. You kill innocent strangers who wander into your house, and use their souls to resurrect Satan. I will also try to punch up the story a little as we go. There are at least 6 different endings, depending on some choices you make at select points in the game. You don't get to choose which ones I'm going for, and I'm not gonna get 'em all because fuck playing through any part more than once. That said, I will try to get at least a couple of endings shown.
