Introduction
Let's Play Penumbra Collection / Trilogy!
Another LP that has already been done Khad? What?
Yep, I am that uncreative. That and when I heard about this game, I wanted to try it out. From the sounds of it, it is a survival horror adventure game. I assume that means Myst with zombies and shit. The difference between this LP and the other one (I think) is that I will be running this blind. With that said, I have not watched the other LP other than the first few minutes to see how they did it (with sub titles). That other LP can be found here. As with my other LPs, I plan to inject my obnoxious voice at any time I possibly can. I will also be going more for "comedy" than seriousness. With that said, I am sure you will hear me scream like a little frightened girl from time to time. With that said, if you have interest in playing this game as it was intended (in a dark room with no one talking over it) then I suggest you do so before watching any of the videos.
Also, I believe only the first game (possibly the second one too) have been LP'd. I plan to do the entire "trilogy" (although the last game is apparently just an expansion to the second game).
Okay so what is this game about?
I have no idea really! All I know is what I have been told (which has not been much). Apparently this game is creepier than it is a "jump out scare" game, which I actually like better. I have played adventure games in the past but I can't promise to be a master puzzle solving wizard or anything.
How are you going to do the episodes?
Well, I have no idea how this game is structured. I assume there are different "areas" or "levels" like any game so hopefully I can divide videos up that way. Currently, I plan to keep each video around 20 minutes long so some videos may stop short, hopefully at a cliffhanger
. Also, if I get stuck on a puzzle I may do one of two things: Stop the video there and let you guys figure it out for me OR just stop recording and figure it out, resuming when I find out how to solve it. This way you aren't watching me struggle over a puzzle for a whole video. Anything else?
Well, I only have one request from anyone reading this LP: Please, for the love of god, do not tell me anything about the game. I really want to do this as a blind run for your entertainment (hopefully) and trying to tell me spoilers just to fuck with me will only ruin the quality of the LP.
