Chapters 8 - Bad case of hurting you

Before we do anything interesting, let's first collect a bunch of items!

Everyone needs blood.

A lighter is heavier than matches

In one of the rooms, we run into some sort of tentacle monster. In order to reach the green plate, we have to distract it with the blood we picked up two screenshots ago. This way, we're able to get the "Hatter" plate. In other rooms, we find similar plates: the yellow "Plate of Cat", the blue "Plate of Turtle", and the red "Plate of Queen".

The Hammer is arguably the best melee weapon you can get in a non-replay game.

Inside the nurse centre, we find a clue for the upcoming puzzle. The full text reads

Clouds flowing over a hill.
Sky on a sunny day.
Tangerines that are bitter.
Lucky four-leaf-clover.
Violets in the garden.
Dandelions along a path.
Unavoidable sleep time.
Liquid flowing from a slashed wrist.

Sounds pretty mysterious, but becomes clear when we find the actual puzzle, a panel on a locked door.

As you can see, I already entered the blue Turtle plate in one of the four slots. As you can also see, if we follow the plates clockwise, the blue plate is set between the cloud-white plate at the top and the tangerine-colored plate at three o'clock. Now, the puzzle is easy: the green Hatter plate (clover) goes into the bottom right slot, the yellow (Dandelions) into the bottom left slot, and the blood-red Plate of Queen goes into the top left slot. When we've entered the plates correctly, the door opens.

By the way, I forgot to mention this, but the Hammer fucking owns those nurses. I don't think I've taken a single hit or wasted a single shotgun shell since I've found it.

Damn those Japanese and their hidden political messages

This calls for drastics measures.

I was thinking more along the lines of 'Blast the grate with your shotgun until it collapses', but I guess this might work too.

In the mysterious sub-basement, we find a video tape. There's a VCR in the save-room on the third floor, we'll return to that in a minute.

We've now got a name for the girl in blue (like it hasn't been mentioned in this thread yet

)

Another single-use key.

Before we enter the Examination Room, we return to the third floor to watch the video tape.

The image doesn't change. Here's the transcript:

"----------- Still ----- unusua---- fever ------ don't -------- get ---- pulse -------- just bare------------ skin is -------Even when I ch------------------------zing thro--------- Why -------------------- chil---------------------------- won't tell ----- please...

So basically, Alessa had a high fever, hardly any pulse, and skin problems. Chewing didn't help.

After this, we head into the Examination Room, where we find a new friend!

Hellooooooo nurse!

I don't think Harry "What? What? I Don't Understand!" Mason would qualify as 'OK'.

This is nurse Lisa Garland. You might remember her from the movie, although, as far as I know, it wasn't confirmed that the nurse in the movie was actually Lisa.

This seems to happen a lot in this town.

After this, the screen fades to black. We then find Harry sitting on the bed in the normal version of the hospital.
