Lufia: The Legend Returns

by Blackbelt Bobman

Part 10

I'm starting this update by saying that the word they use for Sinistral in the german versions of Lufia is Höllenfürst, which means prince of hell. That is fucking AWESOME.

fucked.

Aw man the enemies here couldn't be so bad, right?

Meh, more beetles, not a problem.

On the left is a Skeleton Fighter, and the right is a Skeleton Lady (cause it's pink?). The problem with the ghosts is that not only does Gades' Blade miss on them, they're immune to thunder, so I can't use Bolt Attack or even Flash with Seena. So I ended up using tons of attack items (smallboomer, bomb) against these guys just to get rid of them, and they actually ended up being pretty effective. Seena used Spark a lot, which hits all enemies, but her MP got drained pretty fast. Light only costs 1 but it does piss poor damage now. Skeletons are not immune to lightning, which is nice.

Zombies are not immune to lightning either, so a bolt attack can finish them. Or some attack items maybe.

BUT WORST OF THEM ALL ARE:

FUCK PIXIES seriously. They're decently fast, well faster than Seena (who is slow as a brick) and if there are three pixies, one will get a turn off. And they use magic. Oh do they use magic. One used flash on Marco and killed him in one hit. Seriously. Fuck them. Although Marco has piss poor WIS, that's still annoying. Dei actually has surprisingly high WIS, almost as high as Seena. You know what, those fucking Phantoms use magic too and Marco is not built for taking magic damage. Even with his amazing equipment that makes him almost invincible to physical hits, magic will destroy him.

This is an okay IP skill for Dei, it shows the enemies stats, hp and whatever. I guess if you really care, but I honestly don't, so. . .

This is a really good attack for Dei, it uses attack x2 as its modifier. However, it takes a lot of SF to learn:

Of course I have high SF because of my abundance of LP from killing Gades early, so I was fine.

There are ten basements in this dungeon, and fuck, it took me like 40 minutes to get down here, what with all the battles and hidden paths and shit. If the enemies hadn't been all undead and shit, it would've taken so much less time, but I had to be crafty to kill them.

This is a great accessory for Seena, it's like the angry ring in that it raises all of her stats (except luck) by a few points. The other chest was a life seed.

Are you okay?

I was here to get ore, but my leg is injured from falling rocks, and I can't move!

Are you Lurisa's father by any chance?

Yes, but how do you know her name?

We heard from her that you hadn't come back, so we came looking for you.

I see.

Seena, hurry up and cast magic on him.

Oh right. Strong! PING! How do you feel now?

Wow I am completely fine now!

Yeah, magic works better on people who aren't used to it.

Yeah I can leave on my own now thanks! Exits

That went well.

Now do you see how good my fortune telling is?

But it wasn't a fortune at all!

Don't you get it? Fortune Telling is all about the results, it doesn't matter how you get there.

I think you just made that up.

This conversation is funny, not just because Seena is completely full of shit, but also if you had made it down here right after fighting Gades, the conversation would have been exactly the same, even if you hadn't talked to Lurisa first. Weird, huh? More like lazy.

Yeah maybe if you had stopped him this wouldn't have happened?

okay before we head back to Majari let's check on Gantz and the house building business:

house too, right? Horrible. So, I'm going to do the best job I can on this house! So, I need the best wood. The Good Tree in Copley Forest on Lidal Continent would be perfect. I could be done as soon as I get it. But Copley Forest is on Lidal Continent, which is far away, so I won't be getting it any time soon.

Okay well this sidequest is going to take a while, but that's cool, no rush.

okay let's go check on Lurisa.

If only she knew, right?

I can't thank you enough! This is a token of my appreciation.

That was so worth it. I think I have 2/8 now.

Alright so next time we will advance the story and go to Siantao, a town that I always read as cilantro for some reason. And there will be new characters and pirates and shit, it'll be fucking SWEET.
