Lufia: The Legend Returns

by Blackbelt Bobman

Part 36

hey, there have been no fan art entries what the hell people? The contest is open until the end of the thread, so there's time, but get crackin', I don't want one person to win by default (although it is a totally awesome pic, I'll admit)

Also, I have no idea when my updates will come from now on, there was a big fight on christmas with my whole family and my girlfriend is moving back in with her parents (she's been living with me and my mom and sister for two years, but my sister bitched and bitched and finally my girlfriend had enough) so I have to help her move. I definitely won't be updating tomorrow, and probably not on sunday, but maybe on monday I can start updating regularly again. Holidays bring out the best in us.

Technically this is where I'm supposed to go. . . this town, I think it's called Midy, however I'm checking out this forest first.

They spelled this place wrong but whatever. This is like most other caves, in that you can walk straight through it to the other side, or go into the cave itself.

I, myself, am interested in going deeper into this forest. Didn't we hear someone mention something about this forest before. . . ?

Ah, Hydras love to attack 8 times in one turn.

I love the bad translations, I really do. The other newbie is a Necromancer, which just love to summon lots of low level undead beasties.

And a Cerberus, which is erroneously spelled Cerebus.

Green Dragons are annoying in packs of three, otherwise whatever.

An attack that does 6x damage. Yes, SIX TIMES DAMAGE. Stronger than Energy Punch. However, only Dei and Issac can learn it, and since Dei's attack is probably around 500-600 and Aima's is 999, Aima wins by a long shot.

The tenth. . . area (not floor) is this clearing.

Hooray some shitty weapon I'll never use.

THIS is what I came for. Let's give it to Gantz in Patos.

Wait, I thought it was great wood?

Siantao can be restored now that I have this. I'll start right away! This is exciting! I've always wanted to build a town! Oh shoot I just wet myself.

Let's check out Siantao, I guess he just rebuilt it like it was before, right?

Right?

Wait this wasn't a kingdom before. . .

Okay, so, Gantz apparently went insane and built a castle. Hmm. . . I was just reminded of Neuschwanstein Castle, probably one of the coolest castles ever (if not just for the story behind it)

Okay, this game is pretty hilarious sometimes.

magnificent, I just had to go all out! Maybe a castle was going a little too far, but the townspeople seem happy, so I'm glad. I did the best I could.

Let's check out the inside of this sweet castle.

The back of the place has an inn where you can rest for free, a store. . .

with all the best equipment you can buy, and a priest. . .

with pretty much the best spells. You can also get Reduce, Champion X, and Resistance from him. Note that no one in my party can learn Fry or Zap, hmm. . . Let's check out the rest of the castle, starting with upstairs.

This is a thank-you gift from all of us here to you folks.

the final Dragon Egg! Huzzah! Say, I haven't run into any kind of egg shrine yet. . . weird. . . well let's check out the basement before we go

cave behind this door. That's why it's locked. It would open if you had the Egg Key. I hear that it's hidden in Tanba Cave on Fante Continent.

Okay so by building this castle they revealed the entrance to the cave where the egg dragon lives, which is locked with a key found randomly in a cave on another continent, and even getting the cave to open involves several fetch quests spanning multiple continents?

WOO I LOVE THIS GAME

oh yeah you can also find some other shit in this crappy town:

- Earrings
- Speed Seed
- Tea
- Numb Powder
- Platinum Shield (which protects against Ice and is pretty good, maybe a blue chest item?)

Next time, we get the egg key and go meet this game's egg dagron.
