MS Saga: A New Dawn

Part 23

Oh fuck yes!

Ah, do you have to go? What if I run into another boss who uses melee attacks?

Later Vargas...

luckily, there's a fort within a short walking distance, so it's no big deal.

Fuck fighting these tanks and Zaku-I's all over again...

Next up on the list is Fort Verde.

Who wants to know?

Oh my god she has a Shining Gundam!

Shut up and get in my party!

Li Fang has mostly remained unchanged since we last saw her. Great Melee, Reflex and Mind, horrible everything else.

I love the Shining Gundam. I love it so much. A shame that it's not all that good in the game, but, well, I'll get to that later...

Also Aeon's kind of freaking out but no one cares because we have the Shining Gundam.

Wait, what?

Oh God Damnit...

Cool, later.

And so he warps away.

Of course, he also sends a large group of Death Suits after us, but meh.

These suits are similar to the ones we fought in the last fort, in that they all only have built-in weapons.

Death Counters are annoying because they can use Counter Snipe, and the Death Knuckles love to use Bakunetsu-Ken. These two are also the only ones you will encounter here.

My general strategy for most of these fights was to have Katz use Counter Zone and Aeon use Funnel at the beginning to take the initial damage and weaken most of the suits, and then have Bazuli use Shot Burst and Fritz use High Bomber in the second turn.

like with Fort Arid, we'll have to battle through a bunch of encounters one after another.

It gets old pretty fast.

Again, let's just skip to the end.

Time to duke it out with the Death Army clone of the Master Gundam

One thing I forgot to post in the last update was the battle music for the Four Heavenly Kings. So here you go, it's a pretty awesome.

Since there's only one of him, this fight isn't very hard.

Even while debuffed and against a defending opponent, he can still cause some major damage.

I wish I had Vargas here.

A short fight later, and he's down.

Alright! On to the next one!

Next is Fort Berg. This will be a piece of c-

Oh my god it's finally here!

It's... beautiful...

Now that we have more than 6 party members we can now change them around. Of course, Katz, Aeon, Fritz, and Tremmie are all plot important, so you can't take them out of the party, so there are only two open slots.

I take Bazuli and Vargas since they're a thousand times more useful than Li Fang.

Soon...

In addition to being a place for your inactive party members to crash, we can now mess around with our suits at Marie's Cabin. How convenient.

Mwahahahahaha...

So let's examine the Shining Gundam, and why it's not terribly useful. The suit is absolutely perfect for Li Fang, and that's the problem. Li Fangs entire gimmick is to be a glass cannon, and all the other party members can easily out-damage her and can do alot more other than just punch dudes really hard.

However, it's not a total wash. It does have a few parts that I want... Ahahahahaha...

Gentleman...

I present to you...

THE SHINING ZETA GUNDAAAAAAAAM!!!

I think it's time for an update on the team.

Katz

If I wanted to, I could switch out the Shining Guard on the left hand for the Battle Shield Kai because it has 5 more armor and Melee, but I don't care, because Shining Zeta Gundam!

Aeon

No real change with Aeon.

Fritz

Fritz is in desperate need for an upgrade. Luckily, I'll be getting a new suit soon, so he'll be getting one in the near future.

Tremmie

Tremmie gets Katz' old Sandrock, which is also sporting the Zeta's old shoulders.

Bazuli

No real change for Bazuli.

Vargas

Vargas gets the Gundam Mk.II, and a very big gun to go with it.

Li Fang

Li Fang is sitting on the bench with a stripped down Shining Gundam. It truly is a depressing sight.

Robot Roll Call

GF13-017NJ Shining Gundam

First Appearance: Mobile Fighter G Gundam

One of my favorite mobile suits ever. It's signature move is the Shining Finger, where heat is focused into the Shining Gundam's right hand, and is used to crush it's opponents head.

MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam

First Appearance: Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam

A transformable mobile suit designed by Kamille Bidan. equipped with the Bio-sensor, the Zeta Gundam is a truly powerful mobile suit, and should it be piloted by a Newtype whose pissed enough, than it can be unstoppable.
