Part 26

Sorry for the massive delay on this update. Blame Starfarer for feeding on my love for spaceships.

Time to take over the remaining two forts!

...

Time to take over the remaining two forts!

Sorry, but I need this fort.

You know the drill by now, kill the grunts, and then the boss. luckily there are only two of these fights at this fort.

Welp.

I am so screwed.

It's piloted by the cool old guy we met before. Great.

Time to kill an old man.

The Raven Gundam is an absolute monster. It's easily the strongest of the four fort bosses we have to fight.

It's fast, strong, and has some devastating boost attacks. do not take this fight lightly.

First order of business should be to buff your own guys while debuffing the Raven.

If you choose to engage him in melee, stick to boost attacks that prevent the Raven Gundam from counter attacking, or use Snipe Assist.

Fuck me.

Luckily Gatling Kick can be stopped with Counter Snipe, but it takes a bit of guesswork as to when he's going to use it.

I spent a good portion of this fight on the defensive, trying to keep my unit's HP up so that they wouldn't get killed by a Raven Tornado.

Finally! Time to drop the Hammer.

Damn, Tremmie. I should have dropped the hammer sooner.

Unfortunately, this time we couldn't save the pilot.

On to the final fort!

The last one is right next to Falldust.

Oh look, it's this fat asshole.

Again, we have to clear out the fortress before we can fight the boss. The only enemy worth mentioning are the Death Shields, which have a ridiculous amount of armor. Armor-piercing boost attacks and bomb techniques are recommended.

Well, now that everyone is dead, and the boss hasn't shown up yet, I guess we'll just mosey on out of he-

Son of a bitch.

Wait, where the hell were you hiding?

He has a point, Fritz.

He then turns grey and proceeds to fight us.

Meet the Grand Gundam.

It is a complete and utter joke.

he barely does any damage to you, even without an armor buff he has difficulty breaking past 300.

On Turn three, he's already on his last legs.

On turn four, he dies.

What a waste of time.

Anybody else smell pork? I could go for a ham sandwich right now.

And that's all four forts taken down!

Hell yeah!

But before we go to Eisengrad... we need to make a quick stop to the G-system, because...

We finally have enough Data to make a Death Army suit!

Say hello to Vargas's new suit!

He's gonna be using this baby during my attack on Eisengrad!

The Death suit is a... mixed bag. It's base stats are pretty bad when compared to current suits. It also starts with 1 EN during battle.

Giving it some new parts and upgrading it helps, but not much.

HOWEVER, it has quite a few things going for it that might make using it worth considering.

For one thing, it has an absolutely massive amount of space for equipment.

It's also immune to all status effects.

It's just a shame that it doesn't share the Death Army's self recovery abilities.

Next time, Eisengrad!
