Mega Man Battle Network 4-6

Part 80: gameface The hottest, steamiest update imaginable.

Later, Iris. I'm sure we'll meet again. For now, we have to go see what this is about.

So what does this class entail exactly?

Turns out to be the intro to the CrossSystem!

However, instead of SpoutAquaMan, we're going to use HeatMan.

Lan isn't that dumb. He knows what to do.
1: Throw fire at enemy
2: Enemy explodes
Not that hard.

I think he just wants to get on with it now.

This is HeatMan, who looks a lot happier than he did in Megaman 2.

On to the task! What does Match want us to do for him?

He wants us to go kill things.
Something tells me Epee would have liked this task a lot more than the other one.
Lan, having killed things a lot more powerful than these many times, is very confident and thinks he can handle this easily.

So, 4 of these to kill, getting more complex each time.

HeatMan's got a pretty neat "Item acquired!" animation. He goes into his lighter shell thing, then jumps back out and flexes.

You'd think coffee would be bad for a fire guy. Maybe they just make it really hot.

Here's the first one!

Kettle: See that "0C" where the HP should be? That's how hot it is. The only way to deal damage to them is with fire element attacks. When it gets to 100C, it explodes, targeting the panels around it, and then it dies. The explosion is the only way it can attack you. You also have to kill it fast, as once it has taken damage, it will begin to heal quickly.

After dealing with it, it displays some impressive pyrotechnics.

Onward to area 2.

Here's the second one, right by the entry to area 3.

2 Champys and a Kettle, easy enough.

Last two are in Area 3.

Here's the first one.

A bit trickier, but still not hard.

Even though that group had 2 kettles in it, that isn't the end of it, of course. That would make sense.

Here's the other one, with a generic Navi walking calmly by it.

The last one is 3 kettles.

A PA serves as the big finish.

The final bit is to battle HeatMan. (Didn't see that coming. )

Here's Epee's video of the fight. I figured it would be better to show his video than try to make my own.
I can be lazy too!

Firewall: HeatMan sets up a line of fire that slowly travels left. There's a delay between columns which allows you to dodge the attack. However, he likes to combo it with his other attacks.

Fire Powie: A panel flashes and then HeatMan jumps to it, cracking it. When he lands, the 4 adjacent panels light on fire.

Extra Crispy: HeatMan summons a flamethrower behind the player area that follows you. When it lines up with you, it shoots fire in the first 3 panels in that row.

Not quite as huggable.

OK, the basics of HeatCross:

Charge shot is a FireArm that hits the 3 panels in front of you.

Fire chips get +50.

Your buster gets a bonus rank, which can be situationally handy too.

HeatCross is weak to Aqua, so watch out for stuff using it.

Go away, clown. No one likes you.
