Part 12: Mick and Jinana

Update 12:


Since Mick's Room was clearly empty of any fatasses with Pacmans on the forhead, it is time to get the hell out of there. Hopefully, it will still be in time for saving the Maribel.




Another Level Up. I think that is enough luck for the moment.


"Now, 8 skills can be set!"


That is a very good thing. When reaching the 20th level, one gains the ability to set 8 skills, which is the maximum possible amount of skills.
That is a good thing.




Heat also levelled up.


Why those two? Simple.
Cocytus is a very, very kickass Ice Spell, with a higher chance of freezing the enemies than the other ice spells. That is particularly useful against a certain enemy.
and Ice Amp?
Well, it increases the amount of power the Ice spells have by quite a bit. It is very, very useful for killing things fast.
Same with the other Amps on their respective elements. They can be paired with the Boost skills for even more broken power.
Heat even with both is kind of bad compared with Argilla, though.

Fortunately, all those statues are deactivated. They are there for storage.




Hooray! A vendor!




"Cell bonus earned. New items added to the Vendor's inventory.
Chakra Drop was added to the Vendor's inventory.
Magic Reed was added tgo the Vendor's inventory."



Chakra Drop is the basic MP healing item. It is very useful. Kind of expensive, but a necesity. Not in a newgame+ or affter you get Mana/Chakra Walk, but still useful to have them, I guess.





Heat is getting a more rounded set of skills.
Money is still kind of scarce, though.




Time to go and check on the Maribel.




BUT FIRST.
This skill is kind of vital for the next fight.

Mick clearly has no qualms on brutalizing women. He is really enjoying himself beating the crap out of Jinana.



And then he LAUNCHES HER.





OUCH.



Heat is clearly surprised.
But honestly? She should have. Mick's men would have no complaints about eating her or her troops. She is an Asura, goddamnit!




Pangs from hunger. She will lose control soon. Sera is not THERE to help her.





And speaking of Sera...




She sings.



The cat observes. The cat is the only cat in the Junkyard.
He is far more important than one would think.





Cielo wants to pet the kitty.




AND Gale joins Sera with the song, humming.

No. He has not gained emotions.
He suppresses them. It is a simple flash. He refuses to change.




Meanwhile, Sera is worried about Jinana's ass Atma.




Oh. Crap.





Mick gains even more amusement by the fact that he has gained emotion in the very same instant that Jinana loses all control. Her hunger and her pain have triggered her transformation into her Asura form.





The Solids can afford that.
Hell, basically every group but the Embryon can afford to do that. The Embryon can't because their numbers are small.





Damn you, Pacman.

Well, it's time to get it on, Serph thinks.





Heat is of the same opinion. But he is Heat, and he is an asshole.




Argilla hesitates.



Jinana is dangberous if you are unprepared. She summons Unicorns. And does this.




HEAVY expel damage. If you don't have Voud, you can easily get killed in the next turn. Not fun.




Eventually, Jinana falls.





Hooray! But at what cost?






No shit. They are Asuras. They are supposed to be far stronger than regular... Whatever the hell the others are.

In her very last moments, she gains her humanity.

It is time for Heat to be the biggest possible asshole in the situation.

Serph watches while Heat gets a very deserved slap.
Maybe he and the Demifiend would get along just fine. They both like to watch.






Well, at least he did not try to eat her.
