Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga

Part 13

Update 13:

A bit of mourning is required. For that, the Karma Temple is ideal. It is a safe area.

"Those who die rise to the clouds and fall back to the Junkyard as rain.
That's natural... But, it feels like I'm forgetting something important."
That bit there? It is more relevant than you would think. It also explains the eternal rains of the Junkyard. There is no shortage of death there.

"I know. Isn't there... Something you do when a person dies?
And, why does my... chest hurt?"
She does not understand her emotions yet.

"Don't tell me... We aren't gonna kill him, either?"

"Then let's get our asses moving!"
Heat, while being the asshole, is pretty much correct. Time is of the essence. But this is needed.

"If that's how you're approaching this, then you're going to die.
Your half-assed thinking's already cost people their lives. If you hadn't stopped me before...
Y'know what? Fine, go ahead and die. At least then I can show this Tribe what a real leader is like."
Once more, while being a nearly insufferable asshole (come on, "Devour her" after seeing how she is crying her eyes out? She is not a polar bear or anything, damnit!), he's got a point. If he had been allowed to eat Bat, Jinana's death would have been averted, and Gale's plan would have worked. Serph made a bad call.

"Is it... True that Jinana died?

DAMMIT! I'll eat Bat alive for this!

I'm going to kill that son of a...
You'll kill him for me if you can, right?"
He does deserve it. He betrayed the law, and his tribe.

"Hey, don't gimme that. I'm trying to feel sorry for her.
Why would I pity her, anyway?"

Okay, that's about enough. It is time to regroup and plan.

Sera's song soothes and nourishes, for some reason. It restores controls to the Asuras when they go berserk. It makes them regain their humanity (look at Gale).THIS is important.

But where?
The Junkyard was a world without emotion, without music.
Where could they have listened to that song before?

"Her song is the only thing preventing us from losing our grip on humanity."

"I have never seen such a thing."
Fortunately, Serph has.

Open sesame.

I really like this effect.

See those?
Those have very, very good things.
Things that will not be accesible until oh so much later.
It is a shame, really.

Another Blue Wall.
As it was seen before, Blue Walls are not the only walls out there.
There are yellow and red walls out there as well. With thier respective keys and such.

Pretty nice, eh?

Damnation. I want what's behind that door!

At least this one is here and open, though.

Okay, time to go to Sera's room.

Cielo Guards Sera (Vimeo)
He has not gained emotion yet. But even Gale is waing up. (youtube)

"Sera gave a strange warning-- that you were in danger."

She is magic, you angry guy.

That's quite... Impulsive, I must say. I wonder if Gale has any particular reasons to not be with the Embryon at the moment?
Maybe he has a new plan?

"Do you plan on joining him, Leader?"

Isn't he sweet?

Apparently so.

Back to Manipura.

Gale decides to join (Vimeo)
Hooray, the party has a new member! (youtube)

Missing File: DDS063.jpgWe'll get this as soon as we can — however it might just be gone forever, sorry! If you know where we can find it, please get in contact
Clearly not.

Argilla is clearly distressed by the lack of empathy shown by Gale.
In this case, it is understandable, since he lacks any sort of emotion. He sees things and weighs them logically. He is kind of like a robot, like that.
She should direct her anger towards someone who is not only unsympathetic, but with feeling as well. The asshole Heat.
You all know that you love the asshole Heat. Yes you do. Don't deny it.

Gale has the best catchphrase.

And Heat is being Heat.

"What is 'pissed'?
'Her girlfriend'...?"

Gale clearly needs to ponder the situation.

"That is acceptable. I shall now accompany you."

Hooray!

Next: Entering Manipura. Again.
