Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga

Part 92: Gates and more Jack Trivia.

Update 38:

That is a rather strange enemy. It was rather annoying in the Dyaus shmup, as well.

Clearly, the best course of action is to revert. Roland's shotgun plus physical attacks make it a bit easy.

The gimmick of this dungeon is that the terminals are sometimes nowhere near close to the gate, and some gates require multiple terminals. It can get annoying.

This one was fortunately rather close.

"Mazionga
Elec Drain"

Fortunately, there is a small terminal nearby.

Argilla can still get some cheap-o mantras.

That should last for a while.

Hooray, another one.

There is still only one, but it is separated. It's all about following the green line, though.

Wikilink
Woo, devil genie. Goes down with a single COCYTUS.

"Bloodbath
Demon Rage"

Unfortunately, Gale is pretty much out of ANY cheap mantras.

Was not aware that this was already open.

Goddamn expensive.

Could have been useful, but can't pay it.

This will have to work for now.

This place is not lacking in healing, this is what, the fifth one we've seen so far?

That wasn't too convoluted.

And voila! It is open.

The very next random encounter after opening it was against Jack Frost.

The bikini was also seen.

Damned high price mantras. Requiring a shiiiitload of extra grind.

The odd morsel is clearly not an anti-poison item, so it is the correct answer.

The faster you dispatch the enemies, the more monetary reward you get.

Haven't seen those since the first dungeon.

The third one would have been funny.

Tina is not a spell!

Seems like Jack is been asking many Argilla questions this time.

Charm is decidedly less broken and abusable than in the SNES games.
Of course, no savestates either.

I was really sure this one was the right answer, but hey, whatever. The correct one is Water Crown.

Serph with a princess style crown is a funny mental image. And likely existing in fanart. Shall not look for it.

Next: More opening of gates. Boo.
