Part 94: Two Locks Gate = open

Update 40

Time to open the gate protected by the Red Terminal.

Apis!
Wikilink

And one that is kind of annoying in the first Raidou Kuzunoha game.

Megaten Wikilink

There are terminals scattered all over the place.

This one has the effect that it controls two sets of doors. If one is closed, the other one opens and viceversa. T
Obviously, that is supposed to hinder the advancement.

"The two partitions seem to be connected. When I open the one in the front, the back one closes.
And the same thing the other way; what a pain in the ass."
Clearly, the correct course of action is to find a way to bypass that.

Let's advance through this corridor that is between the two partitions.

Another damn trapped container.

But it's not more than a single Alilat.
Easily dispatched.

Life terminals, while decidedly less useful than small terminals (and less of course than big ones) are quite useful, especially for a first playthrough, when one is not really supposed to have the mantra-restoring passive skills.
With the exception of Devour Mana, maybe.

Another gate, and this one without a directly accesible terminal. It'll be eventually opened.

I had forgotten that Roland had mastered that mantra. It is time to get a new one, and maybe ehck the skills, I guess.

Kind of needlessly convoluted, since the path is still linear as hell, and not even confusing (unlike some other parts that have yet to be seen).

It is expensive, but it is worth it.

Chakra Walk is not as useful as Mana Walk, but damn this one is half as expensive as the mantra that has Mana Walk, and it is quite useful as well. Getting it.

This dungeon is rather liberal with the small terminals. Too bad it has less than the ideal amount of BIG terminals.

Gale still has a rather balanced stat spread.

Argilla's stats are not, though.

On the other hand, Serph would have been very glad to receive something from Argilla's chest.

Nothing particularly noteworthy wbout these two at the time.

And not a leader to use them for

A lot of backtracking could've been avoided if they knew how to jump or bypass security railings.

At last, this partition shall be open. All that backtracking just for this.

And voila.

"Venom Fang
Ingest
Paralyze"

That means it is time to get Argilla another new mantra.

Opening YET ANOTHER ONE.

"How are we supposed to make any progress?"

Well, the point is that all that is a way to bypass the first door, so one can open the one in the back, and traverse all that just to get there again.

So, let's do that.

Relatively cheap by now. Will not last very long, though.

And with that, one reaches ANOTHER set of guardians.

They are not the last set of guardians we'll see in this level (Veoh)
As in the previous ones, they are weak against electricity (Viddler)
They are easy as pie with the appropriate skills. (Youtube)

Hey, isn't that something that Aegis says on P3?

They are eventually defeated.

Everyone levels up!

And that opens that particularly annoying double lock gate.

NEXT: Still opening things.
