News post for 21st April, 2012

Well, it looks like I owe apologies all around. I'm sorry that the archive has been down for about 11 hours. There were some upgrades planned last night to keep the server ticking over happily, and unfortunately there were problems between the server host and me that kept the server down for a lot longer than it needed to be.

Everything should be smooth sailing from now and there's nothing wrong beyond this upgrade going very badly - don't worry, the archive isn't going anywhere! Do drop me a line if you notice anything funny or off, or if you have any questions.

From now on I'll try to keep you guys posted about any maintenance that's planned, regardless of whether I expect it to take 30 minutes or not.

Sorry again!

News post for 14th December, 2010

To begin by stating the obvious, the archive has been redesigned from the ground up. Every LP and update has been brought in line with the new design as well.

With this, a fair amount of conversion has gone on and you might notice some problems with LPs or updates. If you see any, please send me an email or file a bug report to let me know what is broken.

I hope you like the new site!

News post for 20th October, 2009

You may have noticed a few weeks ago that the LP Archive was spitting out a lot of errors. To make a long story short, they should no longer be a problem. The catch is that the hosting now costs significantly more.

This means that advertising will very likely be coming soon to the main index page here, and the index pages of each of the LPs. I'm trying to find out how people feel about this, so if you feel very strongly against this idea please email me and let me know.

Forum members can check out the thread about this on the Awful Forums.

I've finally implemented the new features that I have been meaning to. You can now indicate which LPs you enjoy by clicking the icon next to them, or by clicking the link in their summary popup.

You will also find in the summaries two new addition: tags, which can be searched upon from the main page under 'tag cloud', and a list of recommendations by other users who enjoyed this LP.
