Part 29: Update XXVI: An Alchemist and the End of her Journey, Go: Wasted Years

Getting this ending is simple. Get less than 94 Assignment stars, and less than 80 Trust Level. One thing I should note is that if you get this ending, the game ends immediately after Sterk's results conversation. No final scene with Astrid or anything. So if this ending is particularly abrupt and and short, that's the reason. This is the ending for "You beat the game, but you shouldn't feel proud about it". Then again, getting this ending without planning for it is a sign you really have not been playing the game well.
