Introduction

Everything comes from something.

We were before we became. From life comes rhythm, and from rhythm comes life.

We are beings of information.

Everything is a conduit for learning.

We communicate in bits and bytes.

And we will return to something once we become nothing.

After our BIT.TRIP is complete.

BIT.TRIP is a series of music-based games of varying genres for WiiWare. They all have a retro, Atari 2600-ish aesthetic in some ways, and they're overall just very nice games! They're some of my favorite games of this generation, and probably ever.

There are six games in this series, each telling a piece of a story revolving around a character named Commander Video. Each plays very differently, so I'll probably have to do some explaining to get everything across. This will be an informative LP done with subtitles.

I'm shooting for a two-video-a-week schedule. These games are all pretty short, being three levels each, but each level is about fifteen minutes long. The fourth and fifth games will be several more videos, though, because of a few key differences that we'll touch on once we get to them.

I'm hosting these on Blip and Youtube, along with a download link from my own hosting, but I would recommend the Blip or the source file. Youtube mangles my subtitles, though it isn't QUITE so bad if you set it to 480p.

Finally, I'd like to ask that nobody talk about the games we haven't reached yet! I know there's one in particular that people will be dying to talk about, but I'd like to let each game get its turn in the spotlight, because they're all excellent.
