Rebecca rolled the Awesome to its feet, annoyance straining her features at the `Mech’s sluggish response. It hadn’t been hers long, a captured unit after her old Cyclops had been shot out from under her in the last of the little Andurien flare-ups. She spun as she rose, bringing a PPC in line with the Hermes’ chest. Her shot cored the badly damaged light `Mech, which crumpled like a marionette with cut strings.

Massed fire from her lancemates sent the Mongoose down beside it, its armor a smoking, blistered, white-hot ruin.

The Orion staggered as dozens of missiles peppered it from behind, then vanished in a blinding flash. The rain almost seemed to pause momentarily as the shockwave beat against her Awesome's heavy armor. The Orion's left arm spiraled through the air as shaped armor directed the explosion away from the cockpit, though the `Mech itself would be a total loss. An instant later, the canopy blew open; the Orion’s command couch rising on a pillar of fire. She lost it in the lightning, and quietly prayed for a parachute. Her gaze fell on the Orion’s killer with murderous intent: the little Whitworth would pay.

Now, the fun part: I was originally going to roll a Stalker onto the map when the Hermes and Mongoose were both destroyed; but with the unexpected loss of the Orion, I’m not sure if I still should. It was supposed to be a surprise, but I was expecting everyone to still be alive. What do you think, thread? Do I continue, change my plans, or just write off the Stalker entirely?
