A shadow detached itself from the distant building, vague and difficult to distinguish amidst the rain. Rebecca frowned, and toggled over to magnetic resonance imaging. She hated MagScan and infrared, the swirling colors tended to give her a headache. They remained useful tools, even though neither worked efficiently when the sun was down. MagScan was the worst, giving her only vague shapes to work with, but they’d still let her target the rapidly approaching Stalker. With the rain, she wouldn’t get a good thermal signature until it opened fire with its impressive weapons suite. The Awesome’s great, square fist opened and closed seemingly of its own volition, as though the great slab-shaped `Mech were a cowboy squaring up for a duel at high noon.

“Alright, you bastard,” Rebecca promised quietly, “I’m going to beat you, too. For Captain Masters.”
