Part 12: World of Ruin Roundup 2

Welcome back

Firstly, the missing chest in Owzer's house.

Just toss it in the pile.

Just take a note of this for later.

I'm trying to level up some other people besides Team Curbstomp. Obviously Saber is needed, Jean has potential, and Winry and Viral are... not Zeppeli and Legato.

Jean is nicely loaded. Though later I try and switch the Force Shield onto someone else to fight the Storm Dragon (It didn't end well).

These ninjas in the mines between the town and the Storm Dragon just cast Osmose and Mute, at least that's all they did before they died. Another nice trick is that since Saber is using the offering, it gives a lot of time for Winry to charge up a Stone Cold Stunner.

I try to fight the Storm Dragon with this team, but everyone just can't do much after his Regen negates it. I decide instead to wander around outside for some new things to murder categorize and document.

Consider this the runner up for the Best Name competition. Artly Jon is the invisible target (a Mantis). Oslomeda are the Mus. Artly Jon can cast some Magitek armor attacks, like a pretty hefty Diffuser and Launcher.

I'm not sure if its just subliminal, but it always seems like the party slowly leaves the bed in the Crazy Old Man's house. Feeling ashamed and sheepish for stealing his bed.

Now these guys, these guys are monsters. These are the things that made Sabin afraid of squirrels. People familiar with the game may twitch at the name Rest. Imagine, if you will, 4 Rests just wandering around the world map.

This is from Jean's windslash. This isn't why these things are horrifying.

They don't have much health, this Dispatch is enough to kill it. This is its dying counter attack.

Drop.

Dead.

This is a problem. Saber has the offering.

This.

CANNOT.

CONTINUE.

I said these are as bad as Rest... no, they're worse. They're fast, and they can even just throw out an instant death attack in their regular attack script. Like Rest's Calmness, Safety Bit doesn't do anything. It appears to be a physical attack, since I've gotten the "parry" evade at times. But its not reliable. Against this garbage party it isn't enough to survive. Jean's dual Life 2s are good, but still not enough. I'll return later and see what they're worth.

This is my party for Storm Dragon, Hiiro is still just a handicap, Shanon is still carrying the party.

Since I was stalling, I saw this.

Just dead.

Now, remember how I said to remember that I unequipped everyone on the airship? While I was menuing off screen I noticed an Esper greyed out that I didn't have equipped by the current party.
.
Yep, Leo took that one esper I used for to his grave. It's gone now. The loss of a full party regen at the start of the fight will be... noted.

Dicklogs just laying it all out in the snow.

This guy was in the chest liquidy missed in Umaro's cave.

First attack was a fire elemental R-Elem. That was the last thing. The rewards don't even warrant putting the colons around effort. 36exp and 2 mp. No prize dropped. I know that the readme shows loot, but aside from a few occasions, I never get it.

More enemies wandering around.

No idea what a light pump is, but it doesn't hurt.
