NG+ Update 02: Twisted Trinity

Music: Ranger HQ

After meeting with Zeno our next objective is to meet up with Bosch in the Lift area.

Another SOL Scene plays as soon as we set foot in LowSector Junction.

This scene is pretty brief and serves mostly as window dressing. Ryu leaves Ranger HQ, workers and Low-Ds walk by, and the camera pans up a nearby ventilation shaft. It shows that the game takes place underground and hints that we’ll be venturing upwards in the future.

Before joining Bosch I drop by LowSector Borough and withdraw a few things from the Item Locker. Our extra Backpacks haven’t carried over, which is a shame, but there’s enough space to withdraw our Gold XPs and purchase a few supplies before we head off.

The scene plays where Bosch tells us that the Lift is broken, and we’ll have to make the journey on foot.

Bosch is the same as he ever was. We can’t unequip his gear or change his weapon skills, but it is possible to get rid of his shield if you thread the Explosion skill to it.

Music: Lift

Freight to BioCorp is also the same as it was when we first passed through. There are no D-Ratio Doors, but combat is much easier with an overlevelled and skilled out Ryu in the lead.

All the Treasure Chests are back. We’ve already got all the skills, but they’re still worth opening for Backpack pages and if you’re planning on getting a 1/4 D-Ratio.

The next SOL Scene plays when we take the first elevator down.

Music: Trinity Pit

:…lost hope…yet.

: It is unlike him.

Well now. This is a very interesting scene. Why is Mebeth, a man who founded a terrorist organisation dedicated to bringing down the Regents, in direct contact with those same Regents? Not only that, the dialogue seems to indicate that he actually takes orders from them. It implies that Trinity might be controlled opposition, meaning Lin's trust in them is even more misplaced than it seemed the first time around.
