Buzz Aldrin's Race Into Space

by Frankomatic

Part 40: Fall 1966: Pre-Vote

More fluff news, and the Astronaut news is just that Slayton, See, and Borman actually took off this season, nothing new.

Things of note this season: You could hire another set of 16 Astronauts if you wanted.

That -10 from the failed attempt to leave the atmosphere last season has dropped you a bit behind again.

Thought I'd include this graph just for fun, also. I honestly have no idea what this thing is measuring, since both of our leaders are doing nothing but pouring hate and doubt on us, but hey, we're still doing positively.

Also, here's what you know the moon looks like. It's still ugly as sin. Anyways, here's the stats crap. You guys probably shouldn't have mentioned the possibility of a Lunar Pass failure, maybe then it wouldn't have happened. Space can taste your pessimism, you know.

Oh, and due to a combination of the way saves work in this (if I save at the start of my part of the turn, it keeps what I did for you, but reloads in your half of the season) and a crash of my computer happening while I was doing my half of Spring, you guys have an extra bit of money to play with thanks to the news adding it again. You've got 68 MB to

play with.

Missions to occur this season
Pad A: Lunar Flyby
Pad B: Lunar Flyby

Voting for what to do will end at 5:00PM EST on Wedensday, March 9th.

The failed Lunar Pass looks like it's shaken Morale a bit. Incidentally, the Earth Orbit LM test is at a 0 penalty, the Lunar Orbit is at -7.
