Part 11: GDI 11: Recover the Disruptor Crystals

GDI 11: Recover the Disruptor Crystals
Recover the Disruptor Crystals

After successfully recapturing Hammerfest Base, and removing all NOD forces from the area, it was quickly established that the Brotherhood had stolen important technology, namely the crystals for the Disruptor weapon. Thankfully for GDI, the sonic vibrations innate to the disruptor crystals allows GDI to easily track where they are going, in an attempt to intercept their transport and recover them quickly. Kane informs McNeil that his brother is dead.

Probably in the area of Gavle, Sweden.

Location: Gavle, Sweden
Objective: Recapture the disruptor crystals.

Briefing: It is imperative that you prevent the train carrying the crystals from reaching the NOD base. Recent ice melts in the region have washed out the only train bridge. However, NOD engineers are on their way to repair it, so you must move quickly. If you can get to the train before the bridge is repaired, we can recover the crystals with little trouble. Otherwise, we will have to assault the NOD base to reclaim the crystals. Remember, to stop the train, you must destroy the locomotive, not the cars, but the cargo car holds the crystals.

Author's note: Very easy if you rush the objective and properly use your units. This mission is definitely one I will have to check in the map editor later.
