Core of the Problem

With a cease-fire in effect with the Brotherhood of NOD, CABAL's income source in tatters following a NOD strike, and nowhere for the rogue AI to hide, it is time for GDI to shutdown this malicious software once and for all!

None given during briefing.

Location: Unknown, Unknown
Objective: Destroy CABAL's core!

Briefing: We've tracked down CABAL and are ready to engage his forces on all fronts. This is an all-out assault. Nod forces have reluctantly agreed to a temporary cease-fire and are launching their own simultaneous offensive against CABAL. Destruction of the core is essential to our victory. END TRANSMISSION.

Author's note: I dislike the thing at the end, if only because its a restart if you aren't prepared for it, and a time sink if you build up massively beforehand.

Name: Lieutenant-General Cortez

Affiliation: GDI
Occupation: GDI Commander
Voiced/Played by: Efrain Figueroa

De Facto leader following GDI's inability to maintain contact with the USS Philadelphia. Appears to be on a first-name basis with Dr. Boudreau. Thought that leaving all of CABAL's cyborgs alive was a good idea.

The End of the Firestorm GDI Campaign

Spoiler warning for those who have not watched the video yet.

CABAL is defeated, the USS Philadelphia is intact and the Ion Storm interference that has plagued communications between the geosynchronous space station and ground forces has abated. Not only that, but the Tacitus has fused itself back together, and GDI have discovered a monumental amount of data pertaining to Tiberium, among other things. Oh and Cortez and Boudreau were married once upon a time. Swerve!

It really must be said that the cutscenes for Firestorm, so far, have been pretty disappointing. The debut with the Kodiak being shot down and lots of stuff happening was great, and its clear they would not have kept that same level of production throughout the entire expansion, but it feels so toned down as to be, at least a little, boring.

De Facto leader following GDI's inability to maintain contact with the USS Philadelphia. Appears to be on a first-name basis with Dr. Boudreau. Thought that leaving all of CABAL's cyborgs alive was a good idea. Was married to Dr. Boudreau and clearly hopes to rekindle that relationship.

Name: Dr. Boudreau

Affiliation: GDI
Occupation: GDI Scientist
Voiced/Played by: Linnea Pyne

Head Scientist within GDI, she heads the recovery and translation efforts of the Tacitus. Appears to be on a first-name basis with LGen Cortez. Fell for the oldest trick in the book. Was married to Lt.Gen. Cortez in the past, but their relationship deteriorated and she has chosen to focus her efforts on discovering the secrets to Tiberium instead.
