Part 50: Casualties Post-Mission 30

Situation Update: In the three days that have passed since the last report, order on Meridian has been largely restored. There is talk of renewed Eldar assault and a looming Tyranid mass about to descend on and assault every major strategic point, but the riots and various unrest have calmed down. Military intelligence suggests that it was the Eldar who spread this panic, though how Xenos would accomplish this without human accomplices escapes me. The Inquisition will be busy assuming anything remains of the sub-sector after this conflict.

Nothing has been done about my previous report. I suppose Acting-Governor Derosa is also somewhat busy, and is greatly in favor of the Blood Ravens in any case.

Sabotage of the Thought for the Day is ongoing. Thus far they have been quite banal, though apparently the vandalism is improving morale among some of the Guard.

Sergeant Avitus decided to personally inform me of the defeat of Rippa-Splitta, and specifically requested that Rippa-Splitta's name be prominently displayed in the report. He did so while trying to get me to say the name "Rippa-Splitta" several times in conversation, which I'm sure he must have been recording.

I have now included Rippa-Splitta's name in the report.

Current Martyr Total for the Aurelia Campaign: 299 Blood Ravens, of which 94 are Initiates and 205 are Marines.

Well that was good to catch up on. We're almost through a third of the chapter's total forces, assuming the Blood Ravens are being entirely honest.
