Part 63: Day 61 - Julia changes everythingDay 61 Julia changes everything
Nothing big happens during the routine chores this day except for Al and Jacob leveling up. Al gets points in gathering and scavenging, and Jacob will get points in fishing.
We do use up the last of our coffee and chocolate keeping our explorers going, but they should be able to finish up the rest of the island without chemical assistance.
Here is the location of our morning adventure.
I am definitely getting an Ares vibe from this guy.
With five search opportunities, we should definitely try it out a couple of times before we trigger the next quest.
I did not see any messages pop up about us getting anything, which is very odd. Let's check the inventory.
Nothing new here (the fish are from Jacob and Bob fishing this morning). We should try it again to see if we get any different results.
Still the same result. I guess that this event was supposed to raise her fighting skill, which is already capped at 100.
Since searching with Julia is useless, with will go on the talking.
Our superspy is our best choice for this, so we will say yes.
I think we will steer clear of the strength checks for this fight.
She will fight with her head, not her fists.
And she pulls it off!
She has already maxed out her fighting and stealth skills, so we will pick the stamina boost.
It looks like the fighting skill is good for something after all. Let's see what Julia can do to this mohawked madman.
And she beats him like an egg.
And there is yet another detour on our path off of the island. At least this one should be close by.
The constitution boost is nice, but all those fighting boosts are completely wasted. At least she will not be bothered by her maluses for a while.
Off we go on even more exploration.
The location of the PM expedition.
There is a big XV on the sign outside this cave, so based on the Tarot motif of the island, that would be the devil card.
I am guessing that this is the beast, and not the white magician.
Julia is going to turn around and head straight back to camp. We will need to deal with this later.
And now you know the rest of the story.
We had another good haul of fish, so our hunger is back down to zero. I keep forgetting to cure Yuri's sickness from his drunken escapades, so I will need to get that taken care of tomorrow.
Only three cloaked areas left, with the beast cave already found. Once we will find the white magician, then we can clean up this island and get the hell off of it.
