Deep in the winter of Hinnom, snow falls gently on King Hippomnomnomnom. As a scout whispers news of the destruction of his mechanical giants, a single tear slides down his cheek and freezes. A memorial to his first robot friends. But, with spring comes the thaw and with the thaw come Jesus fuck that is a lot of Zmey.
Blood hunting is at exactly 50. In other interesting news, Ariod the scout dying means that someone is slinging mind hunts around, and you can see Gibur unleashing the kraken!
I hit evo 4 and power on to orb lightning at evo 5.
Forras the Ba'al had never been outside before. He'd spent his formative years growing large in his parent's basement on a diet of code red, s'mores pop tarts and WoW raids. For the first time he saw the light of day and it hurt his eyes. He had a mighty sword and direction from his King to take this province from Mictlan and he knew it would be mere moments before the tiny men ran from him in terror. He had only to, OW! What where they doing? Why where they throwing rocks at him and poking him with their spears! He tried to run but there were too many and he fell, far from home.
Kugri proves beneficent and his gift brings down a horror from beyond on the province defense of the Pool of Tears. Who's crying now Mictlan?
In Zeburia you can see the difference between Niefel PD and Hinnom PD. A decent force of Hinnom PD is enough to drive off a raiding bane lord. This time.
In Cacian Forest, I had submitted my turn before learning that Schneeble put up any province defense and then forgot to change it. Rest in peace independent commander. I'm sure you would have served me well if you were a better unit.
A blood hunting Melqart retreats from Imictan, as the outriders of the Zmeywaffe streak into Hinnom.
And then, as King Hippomnomnomnom huddles behind his walls they come. Darkening the sky with their monstrous wings. A scout, fresh from scout community college, is cut down as he tries to flee.
Behind the Zmeywaffe comes himself. His ancient, twisted form bringing death and sorrow to the loyal frogs, crushing their tadpoles and using their marsh as a bathtub.
If Lilli can't catch my Melqarts, she can't kill them!
Five Zmey, six bane lords and two turkeys. And they're all headed my way!
is accompanied by a single Zmey bodyguard and his turkey advisor. He hasn't gotten this far wasting resources on unnecessary ceremony.
Those are the forces Lilli is bringing. Eight bane lords with frost brands, vine shields and winged shoes, six Zmey, a few turkeys and . Lilli's hordes of jaguar warriors are far away, mopping up the rest of Arcoscephale. I expect her to bring Ozelotl, flying jaguar demons, at some point but for now this is all I have to deal with. I can only batten the hatches, hide behind my the walls of my forts and hope our plan succeeds.
In Histyra, blood stone production continues apace. The only other major forging being done is the production of an ancient treelord's staff. This powerful item is earmarked for Hinnom's ally, Sauromatia, in support of Project X. With a bit of Hinnomese ingenuity, grit and know-how, sketchy plans on the Internet are turned into two magnificent iron dragons. ANIME MECHA DRAGON and ATRRREEEEEYYYUUUUUUUUU move out. ANIME MECHA DRAGON will cross the Rubicon and raid Mictlan's heartland while ATRRREEEEEEYYUUUUUUU goes underwater, heading for the unprotected coast of former Arcoscephale.
The Melqarts blood hunting in the countryside around Hinnom retreat to Histyra. It is in Histyra that King Hippomnomnomnom's people will make their stand. King Hippomnomnomnom alone will defend his citadel. With 1500 hp he doesn't need much help. Let come and scrabble helplessly against the walls. King Hippomnomnomnom has defended his ancestral home from siege by hordes of demon apes. Mere dragons do not frighten him. The six pounds of Xanax he's mixing with his morning scotch help a bit with that. LITERALLY A ROBOT IRL and BEEP BOOP I AM A STABBING ROBOT fly north to counter-raid. Lilli has brought the full force of the Zmeywaffe to bear on me and she will have to summon more, pull some back or divert other resources to deal with the soft underbelly of former T'ien Ch'i and Arcoscephale.
In Old Man Mountains, I eke out an extra turn of research by setting everyone to retreat.
Gibur and rubber ducky unleash two more kraken. My very first kraken contributes to the war effort immediately.
In the vanilla game, this and the chalice are the reason one rushes artifacts. In awesome endgame, it's still nothing to sneeze at. The scepter of dark regency, the black book of secrets and a ring of sorcery will bring a horite shaman from one level of death to six, breaking death access wide open for me.
And with death access comes this.
Charts and Graphs
A quick look at the hall of fame shows that everyone from Hinnom in it is dead. That's sad, but not as sad as how are u's continued survival.
These tell the story of the Zmeywaffe. An explosive expansion that overran two nations and is working on a third in just a handful of turns. The scariest graph here is actually the income graph. When you see Mictlan's income plummet like that it means they've started blood hunting every province they own. Unless, of course, there's some other explanation...
My scout network let's me see much of what's happening in the rest of the world. You can see Lilli being pressed from both her north and south by irony or death, but she has a large mass of jaguars she can respond with to the north and, presumably, she's up to something clever in her cap which she will be able to direct to the south. Her raiders are focused on me at the moment but they can easily swing south into Sauromatia.
