Part 128: Low-Level Run - Chapter 10

Last time I fought the game's first hard boss and won through careful use of ATB and explosives.

I think that's been the entire LLG so far.

Phallic imagery.

It would be handy, what with every battle ending with two characters KOed. Problem is if CLOUD is the survivor I want him to have as many materia slots open as possible to level my HP Plus materia.

Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssss oh god an automatic escape finally yessssssssssssss

But no one here is a gun'sbraster.

With a plane I could go to the cactaur island and fight an enemy that gives 1 EXP. That is cool.

The Jicklebergian captain Clispaeth Ryuji Atuck.

I don't think you have a chance to save inbetween this and fighting Palmer. If Palmer were anything near hard it'd be a downer.

Speaking of which I shall now attempt to murder this man.

Trine isn't that strong at these low levels, but it costs only MP. Anyway, Palmer's open to Paralyze from Seal Evil and Cross Slash so he is not dangerous at all. Preventing him from acting prevents him from murdering Taft or CLOUD but...

Trine happens to be very very good for ritualized suicide.

Palmer's a goddamn joke for being right after the Materia Keeper.

I suppose the game knows this too.

He even gives a ton less EXP.

Still gets Aerated two levels.

7 Materia slots, nearly unmatched. Endgame equipment only goes up to six linked.

We'll free Jickleburg from the British Empire in no time!

The Tiny Bronco allows us to effortlessly revisit early areas.

Like Kalm Fangs and Bombs.

And I don't think I have enough HP Plus materia, so let's begin the stealocalypse

50-some Right Arms for when killing bosses quickly is the order of the day.

And 180000 gil. I think that works.

I immediately spend most of my earnings on HP Plus materia, like I said I would.

The fun thing about not having Yuffie is that going to Wutai poses few obstacles.

Few, not none.

Furthermore, there's nothing stopping the weapon store now. I buy a few weapons for my more useful characters. And Ice T because I thought I might be using him soon.

I get some Fire Veils for suicide reasons.

Bone Village has another tier of armor. I'd ignore it if it didn't offer extra materia slots.

And I pick up Barrier for an upcoming boss who deals exclusively in overpowered physical attacks.

And then even more HP Pluses because I like undoing all my own work in getting gil.

So yeah, I can get this. It counts battles fled as battles. I've only got like 20 more battles than escapes.

What I can't do is give it to Aerated. I don't think I'll be killing 160 enemies cumulative through the entire game, much less feeding Aerated that many.

I mean, I'm this in with less than 25 kills!

But this, this is 1000 free gil. I'll take it.
