Part 26: Lost and Found Items

Lost and Found Items

R-06

Locations:

1. 2. 3.
(jukebox in the Hotel lobby) - (pot in Stephan's room) - (pachinko(?) machine in the café on the roof)

Answers:

1.  95  2.  2  3.  3

Explanations:

1. The opus number of 'From the New World' is 95 (look at R-03's title).

2. It's a little vague, but it refers to room numbers (Miss Nicharesuk is in 407). Sumio is in 402 and Stephan is in 404, so the missing number is 2.

3. The Lospass goalkeeper's name is Kinsky, as shown in page 43 of the guidebook. The corresponding number is 3.

R-07

Locations:

1. 2. 3.
(the sink in Yayoi Hanayama's room) - (the desk in El Crasher's room) - (inside Sumio's closet after Shoutaro jumps out)

Answers:

1.  720  2.  507  3.  8

Explanations:

1. One full turn is 360 degrees, two is 720.

2. LOS upside-down looks like 507.

3. It's been 8 days (including R-00) since Sumio arrived at the island.

R-08

Locations:

1. 2. 3.
(outside the roof door on the fifth floor) - (at the front of the church) - (tree outside the church)

Answers:

1.  3141592653  2.  12  3.  048700

Explanations:

1. Pi.

2. Count the candles in the church (6 on each side, as you can kind of see in the picture above).

3. Just count the rooms. There's a map in the guidebook.

R-09

Locations:

1. 2. 3.
(at the gate of the church) - (at the gate way past the diner) - (behind the warehouse on Eleki Island)

Answers:

1.  1954  2.  15  3.  32

Explanations:

1. Page 10 of the guidebook has the year it was remodelled.

2. Page 18 of the guidebook has the year (though it's how many years ago, rather than what year specifically).

3. Add the outside numbers together.

R-10

Locations:

1. 2. 3.
(sign just past the diner) - (pillar outside the diner) - (on the jetty on Power Beach)

Answers:

1.  72  2.  47  3.  36

Explanations:

1. There are 6 cocktails (see page 31 of the guidebook), and it's asking for a dozen of each.

2. The page number is 47 (that talks about fortune telling).

3. Multiply the four outside numbers.

R-11

Locations:

1. 2. 3.
(in the moon!) - (under the bridge past the lighthouse - where Remy and Yoshi first enter) - (behind the large garbage containers)

Answers:

1.  445115  2.  1998  3.  7

Explanations:

1. This one is a pain. Look at it like a grid:

X - 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5

1 - a - b - c - d - e

2 - f - g - h - i - j

3 - k - l - m - n - o

4 - p - q - r - s - t

5 - u - v - w - x - y

2. Page 33 of the guidebook has the date.

3. Count the lights outside.

(R-11-13 don't have any due to controlling Remy and Yoshimitsu)

R-14

Locations:

1. 2. 3.
(in the projector room) - (in the bookcase next to the radio) - (at the door to the ruins)

Answers:

1.  132  2.  1461  3.  45

Explanations:

1. Page 33 of the guidebook has the run time.

2. How many days in 4 years? Remember, one of them is a leap year!

3. Subtract the second number from the first.

R-15

1. 2. 3.
(jukebox in the lobby) - (in the first maze) - (behind Hana the nurse)

Answers:

1.  15  2.  32  3.  15

Explanations:

1. Count the scratches.

2. Split the room number into two numbers (2 digits then 1 digit). Subtract the 1 digit number. Akai's room is 408 - so 40-8=

3. Subtract the second number from the first.

R-16

Locations:

1. 2. 3.
(in the corner of Sumio's room) - (on the stairs at the back of the Hotel (sorry, bad pic)) - (at the cottage opposite Ritz's)

Answers:

1.  612  2.  3  3.  50

Explanations:

1. There's probably an easy way to work this one out. It's a simple concept anyway.

2. Page 24 of the guidebook has the answer.

3. Add the four numbers in the outside squares together.

R-17

Locations:

1. 2. 3.
(the hyena on the boat, next to Tokio) - (in the restaurant at the back of the Hotel) - (in the last dead end of the maze leading to the boat)

Answers:

1.  106  2.  225  3.  51213

Explanations:

1. You have to manually count every possible shortest route.

2. Get the area of the base and then multiply it to the height of the cylinder. You have to take pi as 3 (yes, really).

3. It's a common Pythagorean triple.

R-18

Locations:

1. 2. 3.
(in the kitchen of the diner) - (urinal in the bathroom) - (on the first floor of the airport)

Explanations:

1. In R-10, Mati told Sumio that he would get a marlin sauté for helping Kai. He never did.

2. Split the 4 digits into sets of 2. The first 2 digits multiplied together equal the second set of 2 digits.

3. Multiply the numbers counter clockwise, starting with the top left.

---
That's all of them! As you can see, I still haven't worked out the solutions for a couple of them, so maybe you can help. When I find out, I'll add them though.

In addition, I just got the US version of the DS version. So I'll have a little play around and see if they changed anything (apparently it's a brand new translation).

Edit: played through it a bit, it's just very minor changes. Americanisations, grammar, small word changes. Nothing ground breaking.
