Mounted machine gun

"The Red Army machine gun is a great weapon-if standing behind it. It provides constant long range area fire while partially shielding the operator."

The second most destructive weapon in the game, and it's modeled after the PKM. It has unlimited ammo and no heat gimmick, but a limited turn radius. You'll see these at pretty much every Soviet checkpoint, and you can't just run straight at them. The shield will protect the operator's upper body, and depending on the rest of the cover, it can be almost impossible to hit them without a sniper rifle. Usually you can flank them somehow though, or lob a Molotov behind them. I'm pretty sure that almost every enemy class can mount it, so it can become hard to silence them if there are lots of guards around. On the other hand, you and your fighters can use it just as well. There are a couple of points in the game where you can use a MG to easily wipe out another position. Also your fighters will automatically use it when told to defend near it.
