Welcome to Noble Team.
To: [CLASSIFIED] S-312
1. I commend you for the exemplary manner in which you've conducted your duties while serving with ONI/Section Three/Beta-5.
2. You were chosen not only because of your initiative, discipline, and ingenuity, but also for your skill as a pilot. All of these were demonstrated admirably during your counter-insurgency operations on Mamore [13.04 - 10.05.2552].
3. I'm glad to have NOBLE's action element back up to full strength and look forward to having you on the team.
NOBLE, Commanding Officer
Halo: Reach is a first-person shooter developed by renowned developer Bungie, and published in September 2010 by Microsoft. Reach takes place before the events of Halo: Combat Evolved, and follows Noble Team, a squad of six highly-specialized SPARTAN-III soldiers, as they try to prevent the invading Covenant armada from destroying the planet Reach, the heart of the UNSC's military power and home to the Spartans. If the Covenant takes Reach, little will stand between the Covenant and the complete annihilation of the human race.
Halo: Reach is the final Halo game developed by Bungie, with 343 Industries, a developer subsidiary of Microsoft, taking over developing duties for Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and (ugh) Halo 4. Reach received mixed reactions from both critics and players, with many feeling that the addition of features such as Armor Abilities and reticle bloom bog down the "traditional Halo experience." I feel that Reach is by no means a bad game, but it is not my favorite Halo game. It's certainly not my least favorite of the Halos, by any means.
For this LP, I'll be playing the campaign solo on Heroic difficulty (Hard mode, essentially). Episodes will be done post-commentary, and joining me on that front are my friends Geop, who is fairly unfamiliar with the Halo games, and Skippy Granola, who has played the games before. However, he hasn't played them quite as much as I have, so I'll try to show off as many secrets and easter eggs as I can. The Halo games are chock full of them, and Reach is no exception.
Each update will be divided into two or more videos, with the first video comprising the story, and any subsequent videos showing off any secrets/easter eggs/interesting things which may be on that particular level of the game. The story videos will be divided into cut/uncut versions, so if you'd like to listen to Geop make terrible Reach puns, you can! For each update, I'll also post links where you can listen to any track featured in that particular level. The Halo games have my favorite soundtracks of any series, so it'd be nice to share them with you all!
Please do not post any spoilers. Thank you.
