Episode 33: Faith

Do we really have to do this?
Yes, we’re in the party after all.
Just accept it, I already got them to take it easy on us this time.
Previously on Neptune, we saved Nepgear from the diabolical CFW Magic. Now, on Neptune…

What? What’s this, out of the blue?
Like I said, I’ll fight for real.
Saying the same thing twice isn’t the same as explaining it…
I’ve got the shares I need. So from now on, I’ll use my full power.
Oh…
I was a bother until today, so I’m gonna repay what I owe. Expect a lot. I’m serious.
Well, if you do a quick breakdown, um…wait, I still don’t get it…

So, this is like the last time we have to do this, right?
No, they said we’re back again next time. Slavedrivers.

Are you okay?
Sorry for my absence. I’ll make it up to you.
B-But it’s not so I can show up everyone’s MVP, Neptune.
Okay. I’m glad we can finally fight next to each other.
It’s still too early to celebrate that. Since I’m in the lineup now, you need to work hard so you don’t get the bench.
that shouldn’t be the case. I’m pretty strong now, too.
I don’t see the fire in your eyes. Be confident. You’re my sister. We only do everything, right?
Y-Yeah.

Seriously? This cannot be worse.
Heya guys!

I can’t rely on others forever. I must play a role in a crucial story sequence. Oh.
Today…that RPG I’ve been waiting for is coming out today!
…Hmm…
It won’t be the end of the world if I say I can’t fight for another week, would it? I can beat the game instead…
Um, L-Lady Vert…
Oh, my! Well, um, did you…hear that?
Yes, every word…
B-But of course you did, as I planned. A solid prank, right? Even if I am a game nerd, I know the world comes first.
I don’t think even game nerds sit and play pratical jokes on themselves.
M-My, my, you’re so critical today. Anyway!
I’ll show you quite a spectacle. Please look forward to it.

Feinne’s Notes:
And now we have the CPUs. They’re a lot like they were in the first game, with Neptune being the most powerful attacker, Blanc the most defensive, Noire good all around, and Vert the fastest. Neptune is sort of interesting because few of her attacks generate a lot of hits, which can make building SP hard for her. Vert almost always has a long or wide weapon, and Blanc commonly has a wide one. They all come with a mix of a few attacks and some support skills, but none of them can heal. Let’s look at their support effects:

Neptune- Voids Defensive Buffs, Physical Def +
Vert- Shortens Wait, Nulls All Ailments
Noire- SP Accumulation +, Gained EXP +
Blanc- Required SP Reduced, Gained EXP +

They’re all pretty great, honestly, and I will use a party of all four of them for the next boss. That said, the party of all four CPUs is kind of weak given none of them heal with a skill. Of them, Blanc probably most fills a needed party role since she’s got significantly stronger defenses than anyone else in the party. Since everyone gets experience, I’ll start showing off some weird fun parties as we go along now. Oh, and I’ve got a cool alternate processor set for Neptune, I don’t recall if the game gave us this or if it’s DLC to be quite honest.

It’s just all-around better than her normal set. We don’t have a lot of fun full sets for real CPUs yet, sadly.

And sorry for this being short, but I've been busy this weekend. Next update will make up for it.

Seriously?
You had to say it.
Huh?
Nothing. Next Time on Hyperdimension Neptunia, Mark Two: Vert’s Comedy Hour! Because I am the best.
