I put extra people on Timber duty. It sells alright, and can be used to make crappy castles.
Merchant time! You can buy/sell goods here. Iron can be made into weapons, and booze gives people a temporary boost so they dont revolt.

End of the turn map, those brown things are supposed to be a carriage, and denote where the merchants are.
So that's a basic turn right there, just go down the list. When you have conquered half the map, it's annoying as hell to go them all properly.
