Doralice woke up in the hold of a sailing ship in 1840, having fallen unconscious in the wreckage of that same ship in 1992. She poked a hole in the wall and found Yoruba, a slave of Jarlath, who decided to trust her for reasons that don't make any more sense if you think you know what they are. In her quest to free Yoruba, Doralice found Melkior, a time-traveling agent who was tied up by the ship's captain for serving him a meal made from sawdust. Doralice couldn't figure out how to free Melkior, but offered to tell him how she got to this time and place, starting with her inheritance of the manor de la Pruneliere in 1992...
