Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals

by Blackbelt Bobman

Part 14

Okay finally here is the update! I got my computer, am at home, everything is good now. I made a video with my special guest last night, but I fucked up the compression and it ended up being 1.21GB. Then when we redid it it was only 75mb, but not quite as funny. Hopefully it'll still be okay.

First things first, I'm going to do something that I wouldn't normally do, however:

Maxim goes in the back. I actually use magic with him sometimes, but mostly I put him in the back row because Dekar and Guy are much heavier hitters.

Oh shi

Cupid butt lolz. Actually, I did a bit of leveling up, got Dekar to 25 and FFFFF learned a new move also I renamed it.

Thunderbolt can tear shit up, if only it would use it more often, and not its regular attack!

Here's this tower, it should be the right tower.

Yeah, totally was. There's only one door here and it lead to some stairs.

And this. I'll keep it in mind. Of course, this is also a dead end, so I should go back.

PIllar? More like :

This is a pretty awesome pillar, too bad it can only move this one wall.

Doors are good. And of course, this tower has NEW ENEMIES ZOGM

I used to take an acting workshop with this couple who are friends of mine, anyway so the girl always called the guy Pumpkin Head, and we would make fun of him by calling him that too. These guys reminded me of that. They also drop pumpkin jewels, however I'm going to find one later so who cares? OPPS SPOILERZ.

These guys are pretty tough, and can deal good damage. But they are no match for a knight with an axe and the education level of a kindergardener

No idea what the fuck that means. These things are fast and like to kill BOOYA right off, jerks.

This is annoying as hell.

That's the door switch. You have to trap that pumpkin on there, however the pumpkin moves the opposite of you (as in, you move left he moves right, you move up he moves down, etc.) So it takes some time an patience. However, you can walk against a wall and he'll keep going while you're still walking, if that makes sense. Also, he only moves on that rug. Eventually I got him.

If the Ghostbusters had a catchphrase they said after they caught a ghost in one of those floor traps, this would be the time to say it.

These spikes go up when you stand next to them. There's a pillar in this room, and by combining pillar, hook, and some wits we can do this.

Fooled those spikes!

And Snell. King Frog is the best enemy ever. EVER. Look at it. A fucking giant frog smoking a pipe. But it's one of those pipes you blow bubbles out of. Amazing. Fuck the stupid snail.

This strange door has a strange pattern.

The room before this had two bombable walls. That's what this is referring to.

Through the other bombable wall, we find an impossible to open door. Maybe the lock is jammed? Anyway if we follow what that sign on the wall in the other room said

Walking into this wall causes it to crumble and reveal a door. Get it?

This is a silly puzzle. I walk into this teleporter from above it takes me down here. But if I walk into it from the right side. . .

Like this

You teleport the way you were facing when you stepped on it

Hmm, this has a ton of monsters, but it DOES have trasure. . .

cant splel

This would probably be good on like Tia, except she's never coming back so maybe on someone later. It raises DEF by like 15, or maybe 25.

Another muscle ring which I totally gave to Dekar because it makes him even more hardcore.

These things are dark. Like Doom 3 but seriously BOOYA's thunderbolt does like 600 damage to them.

Looks like this is blocked, I'll have to go back to the teleporter and try those stairs.

Guess what they drop?! They're tough but magic rips them apart. Good thing my team specializes in magic! Seriously though if BOOYA thunderbolts them it makes them explode.

Should be a Faygo shield. Now in Grape!

Dekar could really use the speed.

There are a bunch of doors here. I'm pretty sure I started with the upper left one.

Whenever I try to grab it, it disperses and my hand goes through it

Throught that bombable wall is:

OH LAWD! I can't think of any more good jokes for this.

THEY KEEP SPINNIN'!!!!!!!! Weakling enemies.

Through the upper right door,

By pushing these four blocks in, the middle turns into a switch.

Which I can hit easily with the hook or an arrow.

Okay now I have to go back, but at least I can advance now!

This'll make leaving easier.

Word now I can go down there.

Yeah, more cryptic shit.

I can go down here now, yay

After pushing more pillars onto switches we come to

A cryptic puzzle! Slash the blue one five times then the red one three times and step in the middle, and you get

Healing panals! Also, you know, the door opened and shit.

Oh shit we might be near a boss.

A retarded puzzle! I LOVE THESE! Basically, I'll show you in pictues:

Basically, there are three monsters in those little areas, and you pick one. If that one reaches the switch next to you first, you win and are teleported to a switch that let's you continue. If you lose, it casts reset. You can cheat by shooting arrows. Anyway it's fucking stupid and I always pick the skeleton because it warps around randomly and usually just ends up at the switch within a few seconds. The other two are some kind of Medusa and a zombie.

This is me winning because the skeleton warped instantly to the switch. Fucking stupid puzzle/minigame/pointless thing.

I get to warp here woo

Now I can continue yay.

I'll bet this is the boss oh no!

Uh oh here it comes!

uh oh

You again! You were defeated once. Why do you keep trying? You have no chance!

Dude we kicked your ass last time.

Lies! You're fools! You need only bow down and you will live!

We ripped you apart last time, and we'll do it again this time!

You're going to die, you wimp! I bow down to no one!

Fools! Prepare for the end!

Alright time to fight gades...
