Jeez... those stat boosts hurt my brain.

About how far are we into the game, officially? You don't even have a compliment of 9 yet, you've only beaten Amon and Gades (and those two always come back), and already it looks like you'll be cruising on by.

I'd say about halfway, however we're getting to the point in the game I've never gotten past before. I have an idea of how the rest of the game plays out, but. . . I've never done it myself.

Damn, that's one hell of a way to break the game.

Edit: just out of curiousity, what kind of a social life do you have when you spend 3+ hours a day playing a game for this thread?

Well I have a lot of friends. . . at school. . . but now it's break and they all went back home (a lot of them live in NYC/Long Island), and I really only have two or three good friends in Buffalo. Also, I live with my girlfriend, so I don't have to leave to see her. But yeah, I do sit around all day playing video games most of the time, so what?

Let us continue with the story by visiting this, the first town on Fante Continent, called Elcorano. They are having a problem.

Lately a dragon has been showing up from a nearby cave. Uh oh!

free if they come via the back.

This game is self aware. How fucking meta!

The chests have a Power Seed and a Dragon Ring, which is one of the best rings.

I have no idea what the description means, I assume it makes you do more damage to dragons. Hey, speaking of dragons. . .

Firebird is good however I need more LP, I spent it all on my SF levels.

If you search around the town you might get lucky and find:
- CharredNewt
- Antidote
- GoddessTear
- X-Magic x3 (!)
- Miracle

On with the plot. . .

Huh? No, we haven't been attacked.

That's good to hear. You see, a dragon has been causing trouble near this town recently. One time, it almost hurt one of the children! I chased it away, but. . . it's a real problem. . . I've finally decided to propose to Karina and. . . oh this is irrelevant ha ha ha! Well, I have to head to Mistra Cave for an investigation.

Hmm. . . Mistra Cave is where that dagron is, right? We'd better go make sure he's okay.

The area beyond this cave cannot be accessed by sea, which is why they wanted you to do this whole cave bit. This is sort of fetch questy, but not completely.

This guy is blocking our heroes, saying that the dragon mess needs to be cleared up before he can let anyone through, since this is the only way to get to Redwood, and we don't want stuff happening to them.

A sword that deals big damage, but also damages you. Not that great.

Cave time yay!

Witches and new ghosts, they were probably called Spooks I don't remember.

This continent has a kind of desert theme to it. This cave also has a kind of. . . dry feeling to it.

More returning enemies from Lufia 2. They have a kind of vagina fly trap look to them.

ghostly swords. . .

Apparently Wheel Eel was supposed to be WIll Ill? I have no idea about either.

the infamous cave turtles.

I only fought one of these guys.

A move that hits all enemies for normal damage, like Silhouette, however apparently Silhouette makes you invincible for the turn, because it has "copy self" in the description. This move does not.

Like with Holy Sword, Bolt Sword is a 3x power bolt attack. Except unlike Holy Sword, more than just Marco can learn it.

A move where you raise your speed and then attack. Kind of like that one move for Aima, which I thought was an attack at 4x speed, but apparently you raise your speed by 4x and then attack, so like Pause Palm it's a buffer and attack in one.

Finally we reach the basement, which has healing and save panels, and also

the other chest was an X-Magic.

Blah blah they want to fight it but we step in and save their asses because that's what heroes do. Actually, they "assist" us for the battle, which I'll show you in a second.

The B stands for Babby. What a cute babby. He wasn't tough, really, especially since the two guards are helping us out, at the end of each turn they drop down and attack.

Of course the battle didn't last more than two turns but still.

Easy stuff. Then again I'm pretty overpowered again.

Poor dagron babby

It was nothing.

It's a good thing Conas didn't get hurt, otherwise we'd miss the fun!

What fun?

He's going to propose to Karina when the dragons gone, and now that it is. . .

Oh yeah. . . I guess I should get to that. Let's head back now.

Aima also looks at the baby dragon incredulously, but then doesn't say anything. Hmm, if this one was a baby. . .

No problem. So, did you propose?

I uh. . . I was about to! Okay, here goes nothing. . .

What is it?

I-I-I. . .

A DRAGON APPROACHES!

What's going on?

It's. . . an Ancient Dragon! It's huge!

This is not good. This must be the mother of the baby we killed.

Really? This enemy is too big. . .

GROOOOOAR! GROOOOOAR!

We'll have to do it, otherwise this town is finished!

The mother dragon, how intimidating. This is actually another battle, like the first two Gades battles, which you do not have to win. The enemy SHOULD be far too difficult to deal with at this point.

. . . Unless you're me, and wished for the best weapons on B100 of the Ancient Cave. Also I'm on a fairly high level, in the 40's.

I love the rewards they give me for these battles, especially the LP.

Oh yeah, and this incredible piece of armor, but I'll go into more detail about that later. For now. . .

GROOOAR! GROOOAR!

What, you're still alive? Damn, this thing is way too tough!

What are we going to do, Marco?

I don't know, what CAN we even do?!

GROOOAR! GROOOAR!

I think it's REALLY pissed that we killed its baby.

We need to evacuate the villagers, now!

Suddenly, the screen flashes. YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!

A strange yet familiar looking man floats in and destroys the dragon in one hit.

Oh wow, he's something else!

Unbelievable. . . he defeated the dragon in a single hit. . .

If he were to join us, we would be most powerful!

H-hey, thanks a lot for saving us. . .

Hey! Wait, you can't. . . he just. . . I. . . He killed Conas

Co-conas! N-NOOOOO!

You! What are you doing?!

Silence! Do you wish to end up like him!

Uh. . .

Despair, Fear, Terror. The feeling that your Fate lies in another's hands. Is it not unbearable? You weak, foolish humans. . .

This degrading manner of speaking. . .

Are you the third Sinistral?!

I am the God of Terror, Daos.

I knew it! What's your intention! Are you going to kill us all?

We shall see. I may kill you today, or tomorrow, or maybe even next year. Until then, I hope you drown in Terror! Ha ha ha ha ha! Exits.

So that's Daos, the Sinistral of Terror, leader of the Sinistrals.

He's insanely strong.

I wouldn't have wanted to have him as an enemy.

I can't. . . stop. . . trembling. . .

Please get a hold of yourself, princess!

I can understand your fear. I would never want to face him either. . .

What are you saying?! I want to go beat him up right now!

Is your brain rotten? Look at his power! We can't win!

It's not about winning or losing! He just killed Conas for no reason! He did it only to instill fear in us! I can never forgive him! Drown in terror. . . yeah right! Not me! Come out and fight with me! Are you listening, you big jerk?! . . . Damn it all. . .

Marco, are you crying?

Let's go look for him. The only thing we can do now is move forward. . .

We need more people, too.

Marco, the ball of light flew toward Redwood.

. . . Okay.

Well, this wasn't a very happy update, now was it? At least we got this monster piece of armor:

I'll just put this on here and. . .

Yes, yes I think this will do. This will do rather well. Yessss.

Also, you can bring it into the Ancient Cave with you I try way too hard at this game.
