I'm hoping they're a bit better than that gambler dude from Final Fantasy... What a waste. He could've been so cool.
On another note, congrats for making it this far! woohoo! it's the home stretch now, no doubt, thanks to your painfully obviously broken equipment (I say that in love).

Quick question - would the Sinistrals do much damage to you if you were undead? since I remember you saying that Gades' blade always misses undead...

Welllll When you're undead it makes magic quite a lot less effective, and yeah their attacks are darkness based I think, so they would probably do a lot less damage.

I forgot to get this chest and had to go back down to the bottom of the dungeon again to get it. That was my second big mistake from yesterday.

This guy shows up once you've defeated Big Mouth.

First, here is your prize of 20,000 G. And I'll also give you the chest sonar, which lets you know how many chests are left on a floor. I'm impressed that you were able to beat the Big Mouth. Please come to my house. I want to hold a feast for you. My house is on the other side of Azoles Cave. I'll be off then, I look forward to seeing you at the feast! Ha ha ha ha!

Uh, okay, that's not ominous at all!

Oh hey looks familiar

Armed guards? This guy is serious.

2nd floor

maids and guards and cooks. . . damn. Let's go explorin and. . .

Alright another one, that's 7, one more (but I won't be getting it for a while).

Also if you search around the house you might find, in addition to this dragon egg,

- CharredNewt x2
- Revive
- SilentPowder
- Potion
- GoddessTear x3
- Hi-magic
- DeathPowder
- BigBoomer
- Miracle

So anyway

Yes, I enjoy feasts.

Okay I will! Munch munch. . . this is great!

This is delicious!

This has exquisite flavoring!

They've even made a vegetarian meal just for me!

This is most impressive.

The food at the castle pales in comparison!

Good food makes me happy.

. . .

I'm glad you enjoy it. I love strong people, that's why I promote the Monster Track. Are you enjoying your food? Good. It's getting late, you all should rest. The rooms are prepared for you.

Then it makes the little sleep jingle but it is interrupted by

No, two are missing.

Where are they?

I don't know, what should we do?

We won't worry about them. Carry the rest into the basement!

Yes, sir!

Zzzzzzzzzzz. . .

Get up you idiot!

Pull yourself together, Marco. We're in a secret room in the mansion. Leydock drugged our food and captured the others.

Why didn't he get you, Dei?

Call it a thief's instinct, but I don't trust what strangers give me. I wanted to help everyone but I could only rescue you.

Where is everyone?

There's a dungeon that leads underground in the back. They should be in the basement.

Why do rich people like to build dungeons under their houses?

Tell me about it! But there's no time, let's go.

Seriously, this fucking game!

This guy sells you stuff, most of it isn't super interesting, although he does sell you really good armor for Dei, which is good since you only have Marco and Dei for the next dungeon, and Dei has to be in the front row, and his best weapon is the Heavy Crossbow which is two handed so he doesn't have a shield. Also in this hallway there was hidden a GoddessTear and a NumbPowder.

All the enemies here are repeats from the last dungeon.

A wonderful move for Dei, he copies himself (making himself invincible) and then attacks 3x at 1.5x power.

A support move that restores an ally's MP.

Not a very long dungeon since I guess they think it'll be difficult or something with just the two guys.

The treasures you find aren't even all that exciting, no rings or anything good down here!

I like strong people. I like to preserve and keep them.

Track.

These are. . . embalmed people?!

Exactly. This is my collection power, eternally preserved.

Are you stupid?! There's no power or anything if you stuff them!

I see that you do not appreciate the art of taxidermy.

How could I?! You pervert!

Are those your last words? Then let us begin.

You can't stuff my friends!

Seena, Seena, how could you have fallen for such a petty trap?

What are you talking about? You ate the food too! I'll bet Dei rescued you!

She sees right through you. I wanted to save all of you, but I only had time to rescue Marco.

I knew you'd be reliable, Dei!

Ha ha ha ha! I'm glad you are here, now my collection is complete!

We're strong. Don't think we're weak because there's just two of us!

Of course I won't. Now, my strongest collection, AWAKEN!

He brought his stuffed warrior to life.

He's a sorcerer.

It's blasphemy against the dead!

If you kill his little buddy before he attacks, he summons a new one, and that's his whole turn. So basically if you have marco kill his buddy every turn, he does nothing. So yeah easy shit. They think because you have two people it'll be hard so he has low hp but no.

He was full of moneys.

We're just stronger.

Dei, Marco, you saved us!

Let's get out of here!

It's nice when the game keeps the dialogue short, I hate having to transcribe long shit. This is nicer.

This is the best use of a hidden item, EVER. Seriously. Who thought of this? Of course it was the will of his glorious lord on high, Foomy. Blessed are we to find this miracle in this stuffed dead person.

Upon exiting the dungeon, the entire mansion is empty. How strange.

Actually, it seems like no one has been here for a long time. . .

I guess that means everyone who worked here were ghosts controlled by Leydock.

That is fucked. . . what the hell did we eat?

This is a horrible mansion.

What do we do now, Marco?

We should continue to look for Daos.

But we have no clues.

There's a town called Tanba north of here. Why don't we go there?

Why not, we have no other ideas.

This was a really fucking weird update. Next time will be happier. . . maybe? I lied last update, I remember the events of this update, including the miracle in the stuffed guy so yeah. Actually this update was awesome, seriously, who thinks of this shit? Who?

I was also thinking, that in the lufia 2 thread a lot of people were like "wow I started this game up because of this thread and man it's awesome!" But nothing like that for this thread, I'll admit that this isn't the best game. I think it's a little more interesting than the first Lufia game though. Though the random dungeons are such shit, I mean, seriously, once you stop finding ancient texts what's the point of exploring the floors fully? More antidotes OH BOY! Alright next time

We explore this town? What will happen? I HAVE NO CLUE! THIS IS PRETTY EXCITING!
