MS Saga: A New Dawn

Part 31

Right, let's do this!

Time for the Double Zeta to destroy these jokers!

Or rather, it would if I didn't screw up. I thought you could use Shot Burst with 5 EN weapons like the High Mega Cannon and the Hyper Cannon, but apparently I was wrong. Whoops!

The Large Double Beam Gun works just fine, though. So not all is lost. it just means that battles tend to last an extra turn or two than they usually would.

Unfortunately, this place has a bit of a gimmick going on.

There are three switches hidden around the Neo Zarth base, and we need to flip all three in order to proceed.

the first one is on the left of the first intersection.

The enemies around this place aren't really worth mentioning. Most of them are just the same ones we've fought before in Eisengrad.

Oh god there's two of them now!

Ok, ok, don't panic.

Just need to take them out before they can even act.

Thank Jesus Yamato for Quick Shot and Speed Lancer.

At the second intersection you want to head north. the second switch is up there.

Hey, you know how Speed Lancer and Quick Shot works wonders against these guys?

None of that matters if they manage to ambush you.

Time for Plan B.

Later!

So yeah, ALWAYS keep either someone with the Smoke technique in the back row, or have a few Smoke bombs in your inventory when prowling around Raven country.

Two down, one to go.

The third switch is down this path.

Words cannot express how good it feels to destroy entire groups of enemies in a single turn.

Unlike the last two switches, this one is guarded.

You can probably guess how the fight went.

There we go.

I can't exactly remember where it is, but there's a small little passage you might miss. I think it's right next to the bunker containing the third switch.

The chest is guarded by this tough looking dude.

He goes down to a Gatling Fire like everything else though.

After the battle, Tremmie learned this incredibly useful technique. it's pretty expensive though.

The chest the Battle Asshimar was guarding contained some Bawoo Data. If you missed some earlier, you can get some more here.

While backtracking, Katz learned a new melee Boost.

Off we go!

Hello there.

Oh hey, awesome!

I'm not sure if the Black Xamel is stronger than the Xamel Kai, but it think it is.

Moving on...

Now let's see what that guy was guarding...

Now that I think about it, I'm not sure if the three switches opened this door instead of a later door.

It's... It's beautiful...

The other chests contained 3 ECAP (S) and a Back Charge.

It's like they were made for each other.

Remember, Bazuli is a good guy now.

This fight took a while, but mostly because of the Zarth Guard's massive amount of HP.

Moving on...

Hey, Psyco Gundam!

Have I mentioned that I love the Psyco Gundam's MA form? Because I do.

Surprise, Surprise, the Psyco Gundam is being piloted by a little girl!

She's also related to Tremmie but whatever let's fight!

I highly doubt that, Tremmie.

The Psyco Gundam is a pretty tough boss. first thing it does is debuff your attack.

And then it brings the pain.

Reminder, there are only two playable characters in the game who learn Beam Field, and one of them is currently kidnapped and the other is currently dead, which is somewhat ironic, since it was the Psyco Gundam that killed him.

Anyway, despite the bosses strong attacks, the usual strategy still applies. Only instead of using a Beam Field against the boss's boost attacks, you have to defend and just take the damage.

Half way mark blah blah blah let's check out Giga-Crush!

Fuck yeah!

And that's it for the Psyco Gundam's MA form!

Balls.
