Part 17: Intermission: Metal Wolf vs. Aliens

Michael Wilson is back in office, but his work isn't over just yet. He's got some illegal aliens to take care of (no, I mean literal aliens) before America can be truly stable again.

Intermission: Metal Wolf vs. Aliens

Special

Gray
Only of these appear during a mission after having completed the game once. After their UFO is destroyed, they swim through the air and can pass through the level geometry, even hiding inside destructible objects. Their only attack is from their raygun, which is hardly threatening at all. The only thing that becomes difficult with these guys is losing track of their location, especially with other enemies nearby grabbing your attention.

UFO
The vehicle that houses the Grays, all it does is just float in the air and emit a low hum that tells you where they're located (much like the hostage's pleas for help). But Jody calls out its location everytime anyway, so the need to search by sound isn't really necessary. It has no means to defend itself, on top of that.

Yeah, it's a longer video than the last two intermissions, but this is still I think a good prelude to showing off as much of the post game as possible. I've talked it up quite a bit over the course of the LP, and I can say I am fully refreshed and ready to finish this once and for all, to ensure America stays free.

So what is the game plan for that? A run through of the game on the other bonus difficulty mode, Hell Mode, and each mission will have an alternate BGM piece (which we've unlocked from saving musicians), an extra skin for Metal Wolf (which are unlocked by beating missions on Hell but I've already done it in advance), and they will be blitzed through as fast as possible. You already know what goes down during these missions, so why not find ways to break or bypass things a little. It's fun to crack games open sometimes.

Because of the speed at which I intend to go through these, the missions won't be their own individual videos. Instead they'll be compiled into three different videos based on which "act" they're associated with in the main game (the opening + west coast, the east coast, and the finale). And of course, every bonus weapon will be used at some point, which include the Richard Hawk models of tier 3 weapons as well as straight up gimmicky ones that may not serve much practical use but are fun to have anyway.

All this in the next few weeks. Who knows, I might even get this all wrapped up before Election Day hits. That'd be some timing, huh?
