Part 31: Ep. 23: All Bottled Up

: Last time on MySims Agents: Who hid this broken baseball bat all the way out here in the snowfield? And where did they go from there?

Putting aside the question of the bat's ownership for now, Sam follows the tracks towards the ranger station--



--and through the open gate--



--and across the ice field--



--to the boarded-up cabin. Now, you'd think that a crowbar-happy guy like Sam would be pleased to rip off a bunch of nailed-up boards, but that sounds too much like work to our intrepid agent, so he's going to do this the long way.



We go back to the beginning of the area, cross the ice bridges, jump the snowy platforms, hop along the remains of the broken wooden walkway, and, at the end--



--we jump off the walkway and land on our ass on the cabin roof. That's right, Sam is playing Santa Claus today.



Eventually.



Typical. The Crowbar of Bashing +1 is always the first thing that Sam reaches for.

: Alright. Now I can get in.

Sam shimmies down the chimney and finds himself inside.





Gosh. Maybe there?

: The trapdoor is stuck. Maybe I can pry it open with one of my tools...



No! You fool! Crowbars are for bashing in heads, not prying!

Sam doesn't listen to me, though, and he pries the trapdoor open and climbs down.



If 3D platforming is not your cup of tea, MySims Agents has you covered: this is the first of several 2D platforming sections! These are generally not too difficult to get through, but ensuring that we get everything from every little dead end can get challenging, especially in later areas. This one isn't too bad.

Anyway, we find ourselves in an abandoned mine! This is the coolest mountain. Let's see where all we can go.



Not in there!



Sam, get out of the snowmelt.



We go all the way across the bottom to the right-hand side, hop up onto a box, jump from there to another icy platform, then work our way back along the second level.



Then up through a weird snowy switchback thing.



It takes like eight jumps to get up and over into this little dead end and musing about concrete is Sam's reward aaargh



Uh, anyway, back up and over and along the third level.



Up the ladder and over to the pile of junk and hey! a door! Wonder where this leads?



A different cabin! Gosh, I wonder which cabin this could--okay, what the hell is that?





Well! I'm shocked! Are you guys shocked?

: A yeti suit! Someone could have easily left fake yeti tracks with this. Is someone trying to frame Paul?





We poke around in the cabin for a bit, but there isn't much that's interesting in here.





Surprise!

Another remnant of the defunct website! These massive and gorgeously clean character renders were used as part of the characters' profile pages; unfortunately, there are only a few still extant. The rest are lost. That's a damn shame.
