Part 32: Bonds of the Oghre Recap

Previously on Myth III

We began the attack on the Trow and uh...we, uh - wait we failed? Oh. Huh. Let's fix that then, shall we?

Worst thing in all 3 Myth games by far. All your clever ideas amount to nothing, as you 100% have to run Trow around in a circle to defeat them. And God, even the level itself is dull as hell, with howling wind and ruddy sand everywhere. That's not interesting terrain and background sounds, they're truly awful on top of the immersion breaking you're forced to do to beat the mission. If the Oghre did more damage to Trow then, even though the mission would be easy as hell, there'd be no problem. I much rather have an easy mission, than a difficult but shitty one.

So sorry if I repeated myself a little bit in the video. That was true emotion coming through, and rage suppresses your normal logic when it comes to commentary.

No screenshots, we don't want to be remembering this mission.

Game film:

Ideally you never should be losing real units to Trow Iron Warriors, ever. Oghre don't count, they're disposable, but I am making two groups - one group that I've killed, and friendly Oghre that I've let die in the other. Sorry Scribbleykins, you shouldn't have died, but I just wanted to finish the mission at that point.

Next time on Myth III
The Oghre Rebellion is in full force, and they have joined up with their liberators from Llancarfan. The Oghres suggest the best place to continue the attack upon the Trow is the iron mines on the plains of Avernus. Unfortunately, the Trow are now prepared for the Oghre's insurrection, and have a surprise for Myrdred's forces.
