Part 47: Out of the Barrier - recap

As for this mission... more micro training for me! We also get to see an avatar in action for the first time, and sort of get a look at a shade, although just while Alric is in the process of owning him. In game-stats terms the shades are pretty similar to the avatara.
The Bow of Stoning in this mission is an example of how you can drop new weapons/powerups/whatever into Myth fairly easily; the engine has data-driven modelling of all game objects and their interactions, so introducing something like the Bow of Stoning (which uses effects already present in the game) wouldn't require any additional code. Still, Bungie was very stingy with this sort of thing.
At one point I rambled for a bit about multiplayer. To go further into that topic, I'm putting together a little multiplayer-overview video, which I'll slide into the sequence after the next mission.
