Part 7

Today Con's goal is to make some money in a semi-legal manner.

We're gonna need an account and we just discovered a new bank... EINHOVEN doesn't work as a password here.

That's better. The bank has a messageboard with a couple of important messages:

Now there's a sum I wouldn't mind getting my clammy hands on.

Musabori, huh. Better add those guys to our list.

None of these warez are combatible with our deck.

If we're gonna find gainful employment we'd better start by finding out where we can work. Asano's deals with the local businesses, I bet we can find something there.

Score! As you recall we have the passwords for Fuji and Hosaka already. Let's start by looking into Fuji, there could be an opportunity for a ...stipend if the Nasa-Fuji deal is shady in any way.

Boring stuff... apart from Larry Moe being hired.

Nothing very interesting here apart from the word VOYAGER. Could be a linkcode, we'll look into it later!

Hm, here's Larry's BAMA id. Con makes a note of it in his planner.

Oh, what's this? It was silly to think that Nasa would have anything to do with the President's son. But this is very interesting.

Con tries link code TOZUKU right away, but it doesn't lead anywhere.

I wonder what we can find here...

68000000, huh. Sounds fast!

There's a lot of new employees with both Hosaka and Fuji, I bet the security wouldn't notice another.

Oh, look at that. Fuji has gotten themselves involved with the Yakuza.

And Hosaka needs software! Comlink 6.0 is the first comlink soft that allows cyberspace access, in many ways it's better than Cyberspace 1.0 since it can access both bases and the matrix.

Con makes a small cosmetic change to the new employees list.

Now, we'll try YAKUZA as a link code.

Whee!

Their company news confirm that they are the Yaks, and their software library...

Step one to cyberspace is completed!

We'll upload it to Hosaka as a sign of goodwill, after all we work for them now.

Fingers crossed!

You're in the corporate headquarters of the Hosaka zaibatsu. There is a a cyberspace jack on one wall.

As you pass through the doorway, the accounting computer recognizes you as an employee and generates your weekly paycheck, depositing the amount directly into your credit chip.

Next: Con gets into law enforcement!
