Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen

by Cats Meow

Part 49

Scene 25: Separation

Fort Shulamana goes back to the tradition of stages that aren't obnoxiously huge, and has very basic geographical features-plains, mountains, and water. None of this fancy desert or snow or marsh crap. The third of the four Devas, Previa, is here. And in case anyone forgot…

Tristan's mommy is here, too! This will be a wonderful treat for Leopold!

Except it won't be, because Leopold was too busy staring at the Sylph's ass and died like six times, making us use both of our Promotions on him. He gets no dinner in any sense of the word tonight!

And what a delicious dinner it will be! (Ashe has relegated himself to fishing duty, apparently.)

Good news for all you Liches and Ninja, I suppose.

I thought this battle field looked really pretty. I think it's supposed to be the top of a volcano at night.

Sting the Dragon Master slices with his Relic Sword (or as I shall now call it, the Sword of Downs), while his Dragon pals try not to stand so close to each other.

Whoever wants to be swift like a fox, or lucky like the rabbit who avoids being eaten by the fox, call it now.

Introducing the all-new Tentacle Rape Squad, now featuring the cross-dressing talents of Lenox!

Missing File: ivory19ot.jpgWe'll get this as soon as we can — however it might just be gone forever, sorry! If you know where we can find it, please get in contact

In all respects, eh? I suppose they won't mind that I'm about to dump their prince into the ocean. Nay, they support it!

Free background info AND a new weapon! If only more temple priests were swell like you!

The people love us.

Now wait, let's go back a minute here. If Gares or whoever was supposed to kill the entire royal family to take over, why did they leave the queen alive?

Right, the enemy doesn't have access to the internet, and guides which could tell them exactly where they are and how to get them. I suppose then we don't really need her either then, eh?

Now that he's in the back row, Yuenta can cause much more havoc than he could with just his acidic saliva and teeth.

Now, the most important thing in this stage is to capture and hold the town with the shop, which is right next to where Lenox (circled on the right) is. The enemies will go straight through there towards our base, although some of them will take a slight detour where Sting's and Tristan's units are camping. It's also good to have a unit sitting on the temple next to the shop town (Ashe, circled next to Lenox). Once the town just SW of the enemy base is taken (Antonio, circled), the enemy will start to swarm in that direction, a few of them continuing their previous pattern. There were a couple of units that strayed from that pattern; Kingston (far right) can be seen chasing down one of them. There are a few enemy units with undead, so it's a good idea to have whatever Monks/Princesses/Seraphims/Sylphs you have ready, or at the very least, white weapons.

There's also only one hidden temple and two treasures on the whole map, so we very quickly found ourselves ready to face Previa and rescue Tristan's mommy!

Not only did Rashidi's black magic make him powerful, but apparently it made him ugly and dyslexic too! Ohohoho! But seriously kids, don't turn to the dark side!

I couldn't get a shot of the big rock and the pose together, but it's not like we haven't seen a bunch of meteors anyway. Previa's not too hard though, as long as you have a World card and some decent damage dealers.

Tristan goes to find his mother personally. But when he comes out…

Wonderful. Simply wonderful. He's saved us the work of killing her ourselves. Dammit, Previa! Why did you have to fight us? We could have been allies! We could have been friends! Why, Previa, why?!

Trust me, we know exactly how you feel.

Yes. Eternal honour to the REBELS. Not you, Tristan. Thanks for the armband, this is where you get off. That's right. You're about to reunite with your mother after all…

No. She isn't. …and neither is Prince Tristan! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

There was also something about some guy wanting to trade a tome for a Fullmoon stone, but fuck that shit, weretigers suck.

Edit: Goddamn Imageshack.
