Part 41: Soundtrack Discussion 4
Now to talk about the best of the best tunes from Chapter 3! Chapter 3 is a short chapter (it’s more the climax to Act I, really), but it has a lot of unique music. As usual, if I leave out your favorite, alert me and I’ll add it to the list!
Doomed Village A hopeless, desperate tune. The curse has come back with a vengeance after 100 years of peace, and the only one who can stop it won’t even leave his house!
The White-Plumed Arrow “On the eve of the full moon, the eight-headed serpent shall appear, and the accursed arrow shall mark the home of the chosen maiden.” You’re not piddling around in the kiddie pool anymore! Things are Getting Real.
I Believe in You A touching tune. Kushi still believes in Susano, even though he doesn’t believe in himself.
Kushi’s Determination Kushi decides to take matters into her own hands!
Kushi’s RideThis one is another of my favorite tracks! It’s great battle march music, and gets you pumped up for the final confrontation with Orochi.
Into the Moon Cave The background music for the Moon Cave is pretty good! This is fortunate, because you spend a lot of time there. It’s foreboding and slightly frantic, really sets the mood well.
Boss Battle: Orochi This is it! The climatic final confrontation with Orochi! The whole game thus far has been building up to this.
Blood Oath Orochi tries to tempt Susano to join his side. Of course, Susano will have none of that! He doesn’t like being controlled, remember? A tense, suspenseful tune to fit the gravity of the moment.
True Susano Susano shows his true colors at last, and becomes the hero he was always meant to be! Makes you want to cheer, doesn’t it?
Orochi’s Extermination Time to be rid of this snake once and for all!
The Seventh Seal Good Will Never Give In To Evil!
Gazing into Your Eyes The love theme for Susano and Kushi. It’s a bittersweet tune, but still touching and beautiful. It just makes me go d’awww.
Kamiki Festival Party time! Who doesn’t like a good party? This music is upbeat and happy, the perfect backdrop after beating the Final Boss of the first act.

Hmm, no. I don't believe so. Surely defeating Orochi is reward enough? Anyway, don't worry. We'll get plenty more praise.
