Part 17: PSX Interlude 4

Since this was a short chapter, it stands to reason that there wouldn't be that many differences... though there is a few more than expected. Admittedly, these are all small things (with one exception).

The mailbox is the first, and it's one of the most mundane differences. It gives an idea just how long this club has existed though (too long apparently).

This guy serves no real purpose, but I still keep coming back to him just because he was removed from the DS version. It's not like many NPCs have worthwhile dialogue; him included.

Very small thing here; see the bench? See how it's empty? In the DS version there's an NPC puppet there. Yeah, that's all there is here.

You might have noticed this line during this point of the scene in the DS version, and how it was pretty different;

: When I close my eyes, I can see the Prince.

Seems like an incomplete thought, doesn't it? That's because it is. Somehow part of the line got omitted entirely from the DS version and hell if I can guess why. It makes a tad more sense in the PSX version at least... even if part of L's tail is removed instead

This one's harder to tell unless you actively look for it during the scene but during the first part of Our World the NPCs in the room actually dance a little as well (albeit not much), as opposed to just standing there like lemons in the DS version.

The fight against these three is still unwinnable, even though - like Etoile - they're massively weak compared to the DS version (the exact same attack done here dealt over 600 damage to Cornet there). Shame that Crowdia opted to take Cornet out first since in the PSX version that ends the fight instantly (making it slightly easier to game over... though it's still something that will almost never happen). Conversely, in the DS version so long as you win the fight Cornet gets revived with 1HP afterwards.
