Part 15: Class Changes: Part 1

Class Changes

As some of you know, we're right on the verge of Class Changes for our characters and I need some input. The first class changes are available at Level 18, and there are two options available for each character at this point. I'll break them down a bit:

Lise

Valkyrie (Light)

The Valkyrie is a great supportive team member with all kinds of spells to boost stats. Spells include Protect, Speed, Power, and Mind Up with the exact effects you would expect. In addition, her new physical tech is multi-target. Lise is the only character in the game who can learn all the stat raising spells.

Max Stats:

Strength: 17
Agility: 16
Vitality: 16
Intelligence: 15
Spirit: 16
Luck: 14

Leads to: Vanadies and Star Lancer. Both of these classes have powerful summon spells and Vanadies gets multi-target stat boosters.

Rune Maiden (Dark)

The polar opposite of the Valkyrie, the Rune Maiden gets a multi-target technique and the ability to downgrade enemy stats. This is great against bosses, since they're usually one target. Only possible downside is that the stat lowering spells are a bit more expensive.

Max Stats:
Strength: 16
Agility: 17
Vitality: 16
Intelligence: 16
Spirit: 15
Luck: 15

Leads to: Fenrir Knight and Dragon Master. The Fenrir Knight gets multi-target stat lowering spells as well as one of the most powerful summons in the game.

Hawk

Ranger(Light)

The Ranger is a trap-centered class that gets a multi-target tech and a number of spells that can aid in crowd control. It's not a particularly powerful class, however, and several of his spells require Dryad or Luna.

Max Stats:
Strength: 14
Agility: 17
Vitality: 15
Intelligence: 14
Spirit: 15
Luck: 18

Leads to: Wanderer, Rogue. Both of these classes get a lot of advanced trap attacks, with the Rogue having a number of damaging elemental attacks.

Ninja(Dark)

If you want a picture of what a ninja is, look at Bill and Ben. Hawk's new technique is single target, but it's powerful. He also gets elemental attacks that do damage as well as lowering enemy stats.

Max Stats:
Strength: 15
Agility: 18
Vitality: 15
Intelligence: 15
Spirit: 14
Luck: 17

Leads to: Nightblade, Ninja Master. Later classes either gain multi-target jutsu or a multi-target technique and new single-target spells. Both have very high attacks.

Carlie

Priestess(Light)

The Priestess is primarily a support character, but she does get a holy elemental attack spell in addition to being able to put elemental properties on weapons. Heal Light can also be used as a multi-target with this class.

Max Stats:
Strength: 13
Agility: 14
Vitality: 14
Intelligence: 15
Spirit: 18
Luck: 16

Leads to: Bishop, Sage. Carlie's next set of classes can apply holy damage to weapons and damage undead or learn to multi-target all the priestess spells and a more powerful holy elemental attack.

Enchantress(Dark)

Instead of getting elemental boosters, the Enchantress gets spells along the Dark Priest line that allow you to summon monsters to damage an opponent. Carlie still gets multi-target heal light at this point as well.

Max Stats:
Strength: 14
Agility: 13
Vitality: 14
Intelligence: 17
Spirit: 17
Luck: 17

Leads to: Evil Shaman, Necromancer. These spells specialize in summoning and dark elemental magic, respectively, giving Carlie damaging and debuffing capabilities. Pretty solid spells, and she still keeps the ability to do some healing as well.

So.. what classes should we go with for each character?
