Vapula: A lion with blood-red mane and eagle wings. A crafter of treasure, he has only contempt for the greedy Bastion dwellers next to him.

Vine: Demon with a lion's head who lives in the incinerator by the sea. Loves his neighbor Ronove, and is intensely jealous of Gusion.

Foras: Appears as a sinewy man with a gentle smile. Knows much of magic, and studies every day with the support of Gusion and the Palace.

Botis: A giant serpent with two horns. Able to see through solid matter, he lives near Stolas and helps him find minerals underground.
