The Let's Play Archive

Shadow of Destiny

by Mystic Mongol

Part 14

Christ is risen! Happy Easter, everyone!

Time to face off against the dark and terrible tween who's dark shadow engulfs Lebensbaum for hundreds of years.

Now that she's in color, I know why Margarete's neighbors were all in a fluff over that dress.

Yup, that was him waaaaay back in chapter one.

Hey, why don't you perform complex alchemical processes on this red stone? There'll be candy!
That sounds like a great idea!

"I didn't give any stone to anyon--"

"Ooooh, riiiight."

Why did that slip his mind? It was five minutes ago!

Yeah, immortality is completely unfair.

Yo, Hugo. You can track the movements of my time machine, right? So why not travel to when I gave your father the red stone and stop me THERE? Why all this future hugger mugger?

For some reason!

Or use your time machine to travel to yesterday, wait until Dana shows up with the red stone and take it from-- oh, never mind.

He even looks like an Elric brother.

Homunculus is just like the red stone, after all.

She could get away by walking briskly to the side while Hugo's gesturing with that knife of his. Why is she sticking arround?

Actually, why would this be a bad thing? Everyone loved her. Give it a shot! And if he succeds, you can burn the records like Dr. Wagner originally planned.

Really? No corpse?

Oh, , how I'll miss you once the Let's Play is over. You gave me such smug joy.

After I threaten my sister's life, try to kill you, and sacrifice an artificial life-form to the cold hand of science, our family will be perfectly normal again!

I don't see a grip. I think Hugo just has his hand on her shoulder.

Good eyes, here.

This is probably why you can't ressurect this chapter, actually. If you could die and come back, it'd be super easy to get in contact with Homunculus.

Go! Bring Homunculus!
Oh, alright. Stab me in the face, would you?
What?
Do you want to see Homunculus or not? C'mon, hit an artery, I'll be back in no time.

Given the amount of screwing around in the past Eike does all the time, up to and including leaving Dana in the 1580s forever, I'm surprised he considers someone changing the time line to be a threat.

And couldn't he take Margarete back to the past himself?

Twenty minutes to find Homunculus, eh? Could the digipad be the answer?

Or could it be... something else?

Ah, if only it were that easy. But it's Easter, and I'd feel bad beating a man to death with a frying pan. Besides, that would probably change the time line as much as leaving Margarete here.

And, you know, the game won't let me.
