Part 25: Argilla as Sera

Update 25:

It is time to finally get there. The Deserted Ship will be the next location to be visited.

Damned hunger, striking when it is the least expected.

"What was dat, before... crying?
Her happy face seems ta fit her more dan a crying one."

"Don't they float... in the... ocean?"
Why does she know that?

"You think so, too...
Sera, Argilla, Cielo--all of us... Doesn't it feel like we've been on this thing before?"
Note: Heat conveniently omitted Gale. That's not all of them.

"That would make sense, but...
It's just like everything else. Something's not right."

"Thank you, Serph.
Ships like this are actually supposed to float... In the ocean, I think.
The ocean is so vast and beautiful... the water gently rocking back and forth.
Come on, let's go!

I'd love to go see... The ocean."

"I know that.
In addition, I know that it is a seafaring vessel. But, why is it here?
And the fact that I know about it... How can that be?"

"I have never seen this before, but it resembles a warship. That is simple to understand.
But, why would such a craft be landlocked here?
And the fact that I know about warships... How can that be?"
It is clearly a mystery.

"There probably won't be time to return for more.

Replenish your supplies at once. There's not telling when they're going to attack!

We are battling the Brutes. It may be a battle with death itself, but... Don't die."

Entering the Ship (Vimeo)
It is going to be a trap, you know (viddler)
And it is going to work (Youtube)
Strangely, the Viddler version looks worse than the Youtube version. Damnation.
Apparently, I have to mess around with the upload settings or something. Oh well.

Instead of waiting to be trapped again, the Embryon is taking the initiative and will try to beat them at their own game.
Everyone wants Sera.

Boom shakalaka. That way, the Embryon can get rid of a sizeable amount of the Brutes' manpower.

Sera is not pleased by the plan, since it involves destroying the ship. Maybe the ship is important to her?

Yes?

Oh hohohoh. Gale has a plan!

Oh hey, look! It is Sera!

Orrr not.

Where the hell did they get a wig?

Cielo is messing it up.

SLAP. Argilla does not like to be criticized. Much less by someone with such a goofy hairdo.

And thus, the cleverly disguised Argilla is perfect for the job.

Oh dear.
That means that, because Argilla is the bait, and Sera and Heat are ABSENT, there are only two other members available besides Serph. They are Gale, which is very good, and Cielo, which is less good. Still, this is very doable.

Gale and Cielo will be Serph's companions for the time being.

What? Why must they personally do that? Couldn't they use random Embryon underlings? It is not like they have a shortage of members now with most of the other Tribes absorbed.

Meanwhile

"The woman's there, too."

Violent reaction, eh?

Colonel Terence Beck.
What.
Why is he using a different name?

FLASHBACK TIME!

He does, you know.

A locked world?

Who is this Colonel?
Who or WHAT is Angel?

Angel's help is not free, you know.

Seraphita?
Sera?
She is closing her eyes? Being willfully blind?
Hm.

Varin, er, Beck will not risk himself. He is a VERY powerful Asura, but he would rather use the traitor.
Bat is going to be messed up, you know.

"First, we will plant an explosive at the bottom of the ship.
Let us proceed."

Goddamnit. Cielo's weakness REALLY sucks, you know.

Next time: The ship, exploring it and setting traps.
